Katzco Snap Fastener Tool - with 108 Pieces for 27 Complete Male and Female Snaps - Non-Corroding Nickel Finish

I wanted to add an additional snap to a pajama pants that was badly sized during manufacture and decided to try this tool. To be blunt the pants could not be secured well and wanted to fall down to my ankles unless I carefully kept them up with one hand. The snaps that came with the pajamas were too loosely spaced and would not hold the pants up. Turned out I had lost a bit of weight and that factored into my dilemma too. I bought this snap fastener tool and tried it immediately on delivery. No instructions, huh? So I googled the product name (snap fastener) and came up with a couple YouTube videos that more or less described the installation process. I first practiced with a piece of scrap cloth and it worked. I then tried it on my subject pajama pants. After a couple false starts I finally made it work. I’ll see how this holds up.This is not a heavy duty tool and the snaps it works with are pretty small. I don’t know if it will install the next larger size snap. Definitely needs instruction sheet to clarify the various snap and tool parts.

If you need an absute sure fire tool for snap buttons this isnt it.Hammer and tool will be the best overall and produce the best results. The tool they provide is a great idea but lacked 2 things. 1) the tool shifts a lot side to side. Better quality would allow for a smooth dead center contact from both ends. This unfortunately shifts too much. 2) the handles could have been longer to help provide that extra pressure on the snaps.I would say mangets too but not sure if these buttons are ferous or not. I bought this because i didnt want to make too much noise when applying these, but since they dont always work and sometimes cause the snap to set incorrectly id rather use a hammer and bit to install them.

This kit is for people putting snaps on clothing and, as such, is not what I expected or need. I need heavy duty snaps for canvas and these aren't strong enough for that. I did try them out, however, and after searching online for instructions and not finding any, I had to wing-it myself. I did figure it out, but it took way too much time. Simple instructions could have been put on the packaging or a one-page insert could have been included at minimal cost. I think I'd pass on this product in the future. If you're looking for canvas snaps, this isn't for you.

I'm not sure this would work on thick fabrics but fo thin items it does the job. You might need to help it along with a hammer. Not super robust but works if you treat your snaps gently.

So I'm a beginner in the sewing/quilting world. That being said there were no instructions on how to use this tool. However, with lots of error i finally got it right and it worked good. I used for baby bibs. So good but instructions would've made it great for a newbie like me.

I was able to make this work with the slightly large snaps that I have, however I needed to use pliers to fully secure the snaps. It's not ideal but I can't blame the item... I should have done more research on the snaps I was using. So make sure your snaps are compatible!

Good price but difficult to use. Hard to keep the snap in place to apply. The 2 white rings kept falling out. a no-no for arthritic hands

Worked fine the first day but after that it quit. I couldn’t get the prong piece to actually attach to the other piece. The prong piece would get stuck in the fabric but would just get bent out of place when I tried to clamp it to the other side. I’m sure I had the pieces in the right way. I suspect the issue was that the prong piece didn’t fit into the pliers right. It slid around instead of fitting nicely in the center.

Very fast shipping! Doesn’t come with any instructions. Very hard to use and the pins don’t stick to the fabric very long.
