WOW! Talk about a Bang For Your Buck! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little Juicer!
I have been researching juicers for several months, as I regularly purchase fresh vegetable and fruit juices from my neighborhood health food market and truly believe in the curative powers of fresh, organic juices. I was really worried about purchasing a juicer for this price, but trusted the other customer reviews and went for it. I just received it today and could not wait to try it out. I made 4 glasses of fresh squeezed fruit and veggie juice and cannot believe how well this little juicer works! Yes, you must cut the fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces and cannot stuff an entire carrot into the juicer, but for a couple or individual who is not producing gallons of juice a day, you cannot beat this juicer for the price. I am amazed at how efficient it is. I made 2 glasses of juice with one large carrot, one apple, a piece of ginger and 2 stalks of celery. Clean up is easy. If you purchase this product, pick up a little brush or buy a new, firm toothbrush to clean the blades in between juicing. It is compact and tucks away in my pantry when not in use. I am so glad that I trusted other Amazon Customers and purchased this juicer. I am really looking forward to all of the new juice recipes that I can create. Cheers to Healthy 2013!Update: 1-25-13: Okay, We have been using this product daily since I received it. We are absolutely thrilled with our purchase. We make a quart of organic juice daily, using all sorts of fresh fruits and veggies. It takes approximately 15 minutes for the total process, washing and chopping produce, juicing, and cleaning juicer. Our favorite juice is made with 4-5 organic carrots, 1 organic apple, 1 large chunk of ginger root, 4-5 stalks organic celery, 1/2 large organic cucumber, 1 handful organic parsley, 1 organic lime (with most of peel taken off), Organic Kale (4-5 large leafs). I call this Goddess Garden Goddess Juice. It is absolutely delicious. In fact, we enjoy the juice from this Juicer more than juice from an industrial juicer at our local health food store. The pulp is small and dry, which indicates to me that the juicer is very effective. I use the pulp to create compost for my garden. Clean up is a breeze as long as you clean the blade basket right after juicing. If the pulp dries in the basket, a little more scrubbing with a brush is required. If you clean immediately after juicing it is a simple process. I use a utility brush to clean the blade basket, rinse the other parts and put them on the top shelf on my dishwasher. I would recommend this Juicer to anyone who plans on juicing 1-3 times per day. I have suggested it for several of my co-workers and friends who I shared juice with and were so impressed that they asked about the juicer and was it expensive. They were so surprised to discover it is less than $40. Highly recommended.

Vegetable Juice Extractor
What I like about the Extractor is that one of the standout features of the BLACK+DECKER JE2200B is its affordability. It's a good option for me who likes juicing or don't want to invest in a more expensive juicer. The juicer's compact size makes it easy to store, even in small kitchens. It doesn't take up much counter space, which is a plus for me with limited space. Also, this juicer is straightforward to operate, making it accessible for beginners. It has simple controls and is easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. Lastly the juicer performs well for basic juicing tasks, handling most fruits and vegetables reasonably well. It's adequate for making small batches of juice quickly and many parts of the juicer are dishwasher-safe, making cleanup easier for me prefer not to hand-wash components.

Great juicer for apples
Depending on your needs, this inexpensive juicer could be just the ticket. We have a heavily producing Fuji apple tree, and we simply couldn't keep up with it no matter how many apples we ate or cooked/baked with. So I researched juicers that could handle apples (we already have an electric citrus juicer), and found this one to be pretty much the best-rated juicer in the under $50 price-range that had more than a few reviews (I paid $25 for it). And many of the negative reviews focus on the small feeder, which didn't bother me, as apples need to be cut up into at least fourths anyway to remove the seeds and core. For apples, this juicer works great. Roughly four good sized apples gives me about 8 oz of juice, plus a fair amount of foam at the top which I just skim off with a spoon. The pulp isn't totally dry, but running the pulp through the machine only generates a very small amount of added juice (not worth the trouble). The pulp also works very well as an applesauce substitute in many recipes. I've run the juicer for many days in a row, and made double batches of juice, and the machine handles it just fine. The only other fruit I've tried to juice so far were raspberries, and that didn't work. The berries were too light, most of them just bounced off the blade/strainer and into the pulp basket. And what juice was obtained was too thick to drain properly.Overall, I've found the juicer to be sturdy and well made. It's also fairly compact, which means it stores easily. As others have noted, the basket that combines the blade and strainer is a bit time consuming to clean. You need a bristled brush to do a proper job. But my only real complaints are are that the basket and the piece holding/surrounding the basket are kind of hard to remove. In addition, you have to be very sure that the blade/strainer is firmly in place before juicing, or the blade will actually shave a little bit of the plastic off the bottom of the feeder tube. Not a big deal once you figure it out, but definitely a design flaw. It would also be nice if the there were a way to wrap up the power cord under the machine when it's not in use.As most juicers seem to be, it's fairly loud. Not as loud as say a vacuum cleaner, but certainly loud enough to wake a light sleeper. It bothers my wife more than me, and it doesn't scare our cats (who run from the coffee grinder), so opinions vary....Despite it's limitations, I highly recommend this inexpensive juicer for apples.
