Don't Fool Yourself - You Pay For What You Get
As the Germans would say, "Es ist Scheisse!" Don't buy this and don't fool yourself if you think this will replace an OEM BMW key fob and save you money. There is a reason why you should purchase a pre-programmed key fob directly from BMW - because it works! I took this to my BMW mechanic who uses a locksmith for all their key issues and they could not program this and make it work. The other reason why you need to purchase a key fob directly from BMW is because the programming is tied directly to the vehicle's VIN. Think about it. If you could buy a cheap, Chinese made key fob and program it yourself or get a locksmith to do it for you, what's to keep a thief from doing the same thing and stealing your vehicle?

You must check it matches the frequency of your old remote
I took this to my mechanic and he said the frequency of the key fob must match my old key. my old one is 434Mhz and this one is 315Mhz so it will never work. There was no mention of this in the instructions for sale. It just said it would work on my model car and year. They should make mention to check the frequency!

doesnt not work for 2010 bmw x5 diesel or 2011 bmw 335d it did not work keeps saying something wrong with the chipset.
