NiteRider Taillight Strap Mount One Color, One Size

Perfect fit.

Struggled to find a replacement mount for my nite rider tail light, happy to find this, works as intended

I have several road and gravel bikes. I use both head and taillights on all of my rides. This strap enables me to quickly move my NiteRider taillight from one bike to another. The taillight is visible from a great distance giving motorists ample time to hopefully avoid me.

Does exactly what you want and expect it to do.

This taillight strap is simple and easy to move from one bike to another when needed, and it works great with the compatible NiteRider taillights, but durability could be improved.I’ve used several of these taillight straps on the seat posts of my gravel and fat tire bikes for years on daily rides and on multi-day/week bikepacking trips. The only issue I’ve ever had is the rubber strap tends to wear out and tear after about 3 to 4 years, making it unusable. Luckily I’ve never had a strap fail while on a ride, but I’ve gotten into the habit of checking the strap every few weeks for signs of wear and tear. I ride year round with these taillight straps living on my bikes, rarely removing them, so they do get exposed to rain, snow, mud, sand, wind, hot (100 F) and cold (near 0 F) temps, and a lot of UV exposure, but 3-4 years seems like a short lifespan.I have several NiteRider taillights and handlebar lights, all of which have worked great for years with no issues, but the mounts with rubber straps just don’t hold up, so plan to buy replacements every few years.

Bought to replace a failing NR strap but this has two things that mean it won’t work. First, it’s just slightly too wide. Worst, all others have three sides so the male piece of the light has a stop. This is a straight-through slot with nothing to stop or hold the light.

I bought this so I didn't have to move straps between bikes. Well made, easy to install, and inexpensive.
