Baar Iodex Topical Ointment, 4.7% Iodine, 1 oz

It’s pricy but it works. The old formula that suspended in animal fat was better but this suspended in petroleum “whatever” also works. I’ve used this product for 50+ years None better for suckin out infection or keeping infection from forming on a bad or minor cut, splinter, gash…whatever you got. Use generously, wrap it up and repeat every couple days. Forgetaboutit

I use Iodex for cuts and bruises on my grandchildren and it works wonders. I highly recommend it.

Our family knows this as "Black Salve" very hard to find. This one has Iodine to heal and works fast on small cuts. Use with bandaid to keep medicine in contact with skin. Will not stain skin, does not hurt when applied. It has been around forever and works like a dream. Lasts forever. Only need to use a very small amount.

A small dap under a bandaid pad on the cut does the trick.

This is still the best for drawing out impurities or infection from a bump. Just wash area, put a generous dab over the issue and cover with a round bandaid. Leave on over night. By the morning all gunk is out. The product has been around for ages and nothing else beats it.

This product has been used in my family since my grandparents time. We have seen healing of some pretty bad wounds. I was distressed a few years ago when I couldn't find it and we were running out. So happy to find a source. And the product arrived before the stated time.

I have found Iodex to be effective on even the most stubborn cut or insect bite. When other ointments fail, Iodex works. I had a jar of Iodex that may have been older than me, used it, and it worked. What else do you need to know.

In the Caribbean Iodex was used a lot. I bought this recently but I don’t know if the quality is the same as many years ago. I don’t remember it smelling like this. I remember it having a much stronger scent. I’ll have to come back and review again once I use it consistently for something.
