Great little generators!
We bought 2 of these to use with an RV and just happened we had a power outage for 4 days about a week after they arrived. They ran most of that 4 days almost non stop. Sitting right outside our back door. Luckily I already ran them for an hr. and changed the oil so they were broke in and ready to go. Usually 1st to 2nd pull. These are great generators. Not too heavy and very quiet. You can stand right beside and carry a normal conversation with 2 running at the same time with a load.

Not to heavy
I was looking for a powerful generator that I could move around and this is it. It has saved me, and others, numerous times. It's amazing how times I've used it since I bought it.

Absolute junk.
This unit maxes out on meter at 2100 starting watts, 1000 shy of advertised and maintains 1690 only. Generac is a shadow of its past quality. Absolute junk!

Check your numbers
You might sell more of this generator if it was not listed as weighing 455 pounds and only 100 volts.

Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on
I bought a n iq2000 three years ago, but didn't attempt to use it until the warranty was about up. It wouldn't start.By the time I found an authorized repair center, which was 45 minutes away and dropped it off I was one day late they rejected me

DO NOT BUY THIS P.O.S!!!
This is the second of this model I have purchased for ice fishing. The first stopped working after 2 winters. Less than 200 hours of nonconsecutive use. So we bought a replacement with a warranty thinking it may have been a fluke. We used it for 4 ice fishing trips, and it has already stopped working. We read the manual, did all of the regular maintenance, and it still couldn’t last more than 2 years. Then after bringing it to a licensed generac mechanic, they chalked it up to misuse. $400 to fix a $900 generator, even with the warranty. Unbelievable.
