Love the book. Content really great...maybe a bit heavy in parts for those new to the subject matter.

I studied sustainable energy in Copenhagen and then work on energy issues for quite some time..I don't remember having had in my hands any book on energy storage matters as comprehensive and holistic as this one. Most engineering books on energy storage cover technical aspects only; some others, but much less, cover the financial aspects of it, without getting really into specific economic discussions, by following a business-as-usual approach and leaving most of the pages dedicated to general and superficial notions. It's quite unique to bump into a book that can cover both technical and financial aspects in great detail at the same time.Zini's book provides a unique piece of knowledge in the area of electrical energy storage which should be on the desk of every professional and used at universities to teach our students how to cope with our future and possibly help to design a better one.

I bought this book because I was working on a battery energy storage project at work. It definitely provides a nice overview of different types of technologies, and is written at a level suitable for someone that isn't an expert in this field. It also provides some in-depth treatment of the chemical/physical processes for those who are interested, but it's not absolutely necessary to understand that to get the rest of it.On the other hand, the book is not well edited at all. There are spelling/grammatical mistakes on pretty much every page. For the price, I think that's unacceptable, which is why I'm giving it three stars.

I have read through this book which I now consider a must have guide for every professional of the energy sector.Dr. Zini had the ability to cover every aspect of the engineering and economy of green electrical energy storage, in the clearest way for the reader.
