Looks over substance!!
This case looks great. The outer body seems robust and it looks well made. However I've had problems with the handles on two of these within 4-5weeks.The only thing that has been carried inside is an A3 drawing book with cartridge paper. With the first case one handle became unstitched on one side within 2weeks, so I had it replaced. Now after a further 2weeks, both handles have each become unstitched on one side. The drawing pad is not that heavy, maybe 1kg, (the case itself is about 0.8kg according to my scales). So I'm unsure whether I've just been unlucky, or if this case can't cope with anything other than a few sheets of paper?UpdateWe received case no3 and within a week the first handle on this also became unstitched. My son used it for one more week and all of the handles have fallen off. He only carries one ring bound a3 sketch book in it!! Not fit for purpose!

Well made, sturdy, light weight and great design.
Received this today and am delighted with the product. It looks a lot more modern than the others on the market, not shiny and synthetic looking. I bought it to put my A3 drawing board in but I suppose the drawing board is A3 size actual working area, and the edges make it bigger so that I can do the zip up except about 5cm. This is finehowever because I have bought it mainly to store the drawing board and my A4 light box and an A3 pad of paper and would rarely carry it far. Even if I did the zipper would stayclosed as it is only a little open. The description didn't say it could accommodate an A3 Drawing Board so it isn't a fault, and I would not want to change it for one specifically for an A3 Drawing Board. In all I am very pleased with the case.

Smart case
Bought for Xmas present but have looked at it. It looks sturdy but lightweight not bulky and think it will suit my 9 yr old grandson. Can’t say if it is long lasting as yet as I say it’s a Xmas present

Needs improvement
My A3 case is not the best! It’s waterproof which is what i wanted! The shoulder strap broke on the second day of using it. So I would recommend looking for a case with a stronger shoulder strap if your carrying sketchbooks.
