Tripura Rahasya in English
The book is written in easy to read English, without losing the spirit of the scripture. Yet another gem by Pandit Tigunait. In one of his other books (at the Eleventh hour) it is mentioned that this book was written/ translated during his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania. Scriptural knowledge about yoga and ritual practice is rare. Pandit Tigunait is a scholar and practitioner, fluent in Sanskrit and English - an ideal skill set to present to world audience, Tripura Rahasya. Many thanks to him!

An excellent addition to my "spiritual library"
This a great translation. It really gives you a feel for what the authentic version is like. Keep in mind Dattatreya was an avadhutta. His teachings are highly advanced and said to be the essence of the highest esoteric knowledge. As good as this translation is much contemplation is needed for its studies. I would not recommend this for anyone who is not a serious practitioner of Yoga or Tantra, or even amateurs.

Edifying Shakti/Vedanta Text.
A good English translation of an old hinduistic text of the shakta and vedanta tradition. The translator is a Sanskrit scholar who works for the Himmalayan International Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy, which has been founded by Swami Rama, who wrote a nice book about his travels in the Himmalaya. The text uses Sanskrit terms frequently, but a glossary explains them all. The title Sakti Sadhana may confuse a little, because it's really just the translation of the Tripura Rahasya. The book consists mostly of teachings of Dattatreya about Vedanta with a touch of shakti. Carefully read it may contain some hints for the spiritual path. The book will be of best value, if one practices some form of Hinduism.

A First Rate Spiritual Classic
In the 40 years I've passed immersed in the study of comparative religions, I have to say the Tripura Rahasya ("The Mystery of the Three Cities") is one of the greatest works on spirituality I've ever read. With brilliant philosophical clarity--illustrated with marvelously engaging stories--this classic work unveils the secrets of consciousness, matter, energy, and the human soul. Pandit Tigunait's superb English translation makes the Sanskrit text a pleasure to read. Anyone interested in yoga, consciousness studies, world religions, Hinduism, or the Goddess tradition should be familiar with this important scripture. You'll rarely find a spiritual text more enlightening.

This book is ok
This book contains really very good information, but the quality of the book is not at all good. Several fonts are substituted with pictures instead, looks very odd on the kindle. I have rated this book just for the quality. But if you want to rate the content it is extraordinary.

incompréhensible
Je ne vois pas comment ce livre peut être comprit, tiré d'un texte traditionnel de yoga, peut-être qu'en continuant de l'étudier ... après 20ans d'étude de yoga est-ce le livre ou moi.
