Realistic & Safe
It's a decent toy. I like that the design is realistic. I bought the gun to start teaching my son gun safety since I do in fact own a gun. He can't rack the toy (but I didn't deduct any stars for this since my son is 3 and the age recommendation starts at 6) - just thought I'd add it in there for other people that buy outside the age recs. The bullets are very light and the gun is made more for realism than power (so the bullets don't have a ton of pressure behind them when shot), so if you were purchasing this gun strictly for play and not to teach gun safety, you could rest assured that it won't hurt if you or someone else gets shot with it.The reason I deducted a star is because even when it is loaded correctly and I rack it for him, it doesn't always shoot out the bullets. That's a pain in the @$$ because I have to keep racking it just for nothing to happen. If your kid can rack it himself, it would be a little less of an annoyance, I guess, but still an annoyance nonetheless.

CERTAINLY DOES NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS
This is nothing like represented in the advertisement. Not to mention, I just received this on March 15th, opened it today after returning in town and went to immediately return the very very cheaply made item and I no longer have that option available. MAYBE AMAZON SHOULD TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT THEY MAKE MISTAKES FROM TIME TO TIME AS WELL. Not to mention, the enormous amount of orders that I place with Amazon if my customer was this dis-satisfied I would not care if it was 6 months later. It would be 100% obvious this TOY was not used at all if and when it were returned. Instead the almighty Amazon system cannot make a 1 digit mistake so it must be the consumers fault. This is a #PERFECT example why America has become the Worldwide “Customer NO-SERVICE Department” to anyone you ask around the globe. Trust me, I not only spent years on foreign soil for my Country, I do the same with my career! #SadBut100%TrueIf you want True customer service buy from the small American companies that care about you by name not just an account number.

Thumb down
B Not worth the price! Cheaply made and bullets don’t even shoot far and broke very easily

Cheap fun
For what it is - a cheap toy for kids 3 and up - this is awesome (I present no philosophical stance regarding giving toy guns to kids). The gun is dimensionally accurate. The slide racks, the trigger pulls, the magazine release button functions. The magazine is easy to load if you follow instructions and push the bullets in from the back; it holds 5 bullets. The bullets have a silicone rubber tip (the actual bullet part) with a hard plastic case/base. These parts do not function: the hammer, slide lock, safety, grip safety. The ejector port is also solid (no hole). You can take it apart with a small philips screwdriver. The mechanism is a simple spring and plunger. When the gun 'fires' it launches the whole cartridge - not just the actual bullet. The slide needs to be racked fully, or it won't fire. This might be hard for little kids, not because of strength, but just remembering to do that every time.Velocity (with mine, at least) is about 14 fps. If you hold the gun level at 3 feet off the ground, it will launch the bullets about 9 feet out. If you aim it up about 20 degrees, it will arc them out to about 15 feet. Accuracy is what you expect - at 5 feet away, you can easily hit a person, at 10 feet you might miss. The bullets do not hurt at all. At point blank range, it just feels like someone flicking you with their finger. On another note, I find this would be good for some aspects of firearms safety training. Because it's full size, and it can be chambered and fire without the magazine inserted, it can be used to illustrate certain safety points. It fits a real holster, and the trigger pull is actually about the same as a factory 1911. It's also a super bright color, easy to identify as a toy.

No issues here, yet. Great item!
The media could not be loaded. What I loved about this item was that it is very realistic in looks, and that you can get extra parts for it, all while keeping a fairly cheap price. As the title states, at the time of this review, the toy is "Intended for Fun, Not Distance or Accuracy", something which people seem to lose sight of, when buying something so cheap. It won't go half a mile for a price less than thirty US.The bullets have a nice soft tip to them, and the area that would be the primer is nicely rounded, smooth, with no sharp transition lines. The toy has great colors to it, that make sure everyone knows it is a toy, and not the real thing. The 5 rounds for the magazine can be pushed in from top to bottom, or you can hold the mag follower down and slide the rounds in from the front - your choice! A word of caution to all - Do not drop these mags, or set them down with any small drops. Doing so will cause the top 2 rounds to launch out and across the room... The frame does feel a bit thin, when you're pulling the slide back, and there is a noticeable gap between the two halves, but for a children's toy, it is decently acceptable. The trigger has a nice squeeze and break to it, with no issues seen yet. The only thing I would change is that I would make the screws smaller or more hidden. The bright stainless steel screws stick out like a sore leg limp. Overall, a great item!

Cheep price .
Product is plastic and light weight and when I shot it once to test it the inside mechanism broke. I could not shoot the plastic bullets out anymore. Spring broke. Looks good as a non firing replica now. Everything else works fine except will not fire the plastic bullets out anymore.
