Worked perfectly, and fairly easy to install
I love my ddPai camera, and this neat little cable set (which includes all the connector types you're likely to come up against) is very reasonably priced and easy to install. It's a must-have if you want your ddPai camera to work in the parking mode (where it snaps one frame every second, so it keeps a digital fast-motion video of your car whenever it is parked. One caveat you may not think about: most of us park with the rear of the car facing the traffic lane, so your camera is unlikely to catch a fender bender unless you're one of those people who backs into a parking spot.

The instructions may be wrong. (Agreed!!) Updated Review
Same as what Mike said in another review. Parking mode doesn’t work if you follow the instructions however if you wire both to a VCC then all is well. I wired mine per the instructions and it worked normally but wouldn’t enter into the parking mode. I then wired both to a constant power and everything worked as described without issue. Overall , I’m very happy with the camera and it’s quality for the price.Updated 6/10/19- I emailed DDPAI directly over this issue and they emailed my a software update for my mini3. After installing the update, I re-wired it per the instructions and everything works great now. I changed my rating to a 5 star and ordered another camera for my wife's Lexus.

Great kit for a great dash cam
After doing some reviews on this hard wire kit I was hesitant to purchase this; however, after doing some research I could not find another kit for my Ddpai mini 3 so I pulled the trigger on this kit. At first I had the same problem everyone else had with it not going into parking mode when I turned my vehicle off. After playing around with the Ddpai app on my phone I found that there was a firmware update for my mini 3 under the "Me/ About" section. After updating the firmware to my mini 3, everything began working as it is suppose to. Now after I shut down my vehicle, it goes into and stays in parking mode until my vehicle starts. I am a very happy camper now and I highly recommend this kit for its quality and ease of installation.

It will still drain your battery regardless of setup.
This hardwire kit will still drain your battery and there’s nothing you can do about it. I’m using this on a 2014 Tundra, which has a fairly strong battery and alternator with the factory tow package. The first problem is that it will not supply any power at all unless both ACC and VCC are connected. On my BlackVue, I was able to leave VCC disconnected because I didn’t care about the parking mode. The ddpai instead forces you to rely on the software. But the software has glaring flaws. The first and biggest of which is that there’s no option to disable parking mode, which means the device will always be drawing power until the cutoff conditions are met.It has a voltage cutoff and a time based cutoff. But using the most conservative settings for both still result in extremely labored starts on my truck, to the point where I’m surprised when it finally does start.Since the truck is 6 years old, I did try a fresh battery but the dashcam results in the same labored starts the following day.I’m going to try to keep the dashcam, and instead use one of the power splitters available on Amazon which use the power provided by the rear view camera instead of this hardwire kit.

Idiots
People need to stop giving this bad reviews because they cant work it out. Yes it is simple plug and play but you just need to test which fuse to put it in for it to constantly regard. With regards to the battery drain that is selected within the app itself, I think it says 15 minutes 6 hours, 24 hours or constantly. Therefore it will shut off after the selected time. I nearly didn't buy this for my mini 3 pro because of the reviews. Glad I didn't listen to them
