Funny and Cleverly Written
I’d probably give this book 4.5 ⭐️ if I could.I love this author’s paranormal romances. They are usually hilarious and cleverly constructed and this was no exception. This is the second book in the Magnus Pack Series and it follows 6 months after the first book ended, but it deals with different main characters Conall and Miki. Miki is one of Sara’s best friends and is equally ruthless and mean. On top of that she is a genius who has a photographic memory. She’s funny in a brutal kind of way.Conall is Zach’s best friend and second in the pack. He’s a massive Viking throw back and his father’s pack has a reputation for being crazy and vicious. He has these tendencies but keeps his wolf very tightly leashed. So tight, that everyone thinks he’s a nice guy, but Miki isn’t fooled one bit.Miki and Conall met at the end of the last book and shared one passionate kiss and never saw each other again when the Magnus Pack headed back home and took Sara with them. Now Miki is going to visit Sara for the first time since she left and everyone seems to be encouraging her to get together for a fling with Conall. Miki knows this will be a mistake because her feelings could easily get involved, but Conall is not deterred by her initial rejection because he can sense her resolve is weak and he really wants her, and his wolf does too. This plot like all written by this author is cleverly constructed and keeps moving forwards quickly. There were a couple of things that were unresolved in the book for me, but I think maybe the next book in the series will take care of those things for me, because this author rarely leaves threads hanging without good reason.I can always count on this author to cheer me up whenever I’m feeling a bit ‘meh’ and this book did. Technically I don’t think you need to have read the first book in the series to enjoy this book, but you would be a fool to avoid reading it because it’s good too.

Let the games begin :)
Ok i re-read Pack Challenge so it meant i had to go back through the whole Magnus Pack and this one is great. It draws you in and keeps you hooked throughout the whole story.Miki can see right through Conall's game plan of trying to be the nice guy you can rely on. She see's him for what he is, a Viking built for concurring. It just happens that he has set his sights on Miki and has no intention of ever letting her go. Once he finally gets her that is! As in true Miki style she won't just roll over and except that he may just want more than the hot and heavy sex that is almost guaranteed with just the way he looks at her.Two down and one to go with the Magnus Pack trilogy. On to Angie's story now - who's ready for some purrfect action :)

Couldn't put this one down.
I'll have to agree with all the other reviewers on the fact that this 2nd book in the series was much better than the first. It was funnier than the first one and had a more solid storyline that had me hooked from the first page. That said, I still think it would've benefitted from a more focussed look into history of the packs and the reason's why all the different packs were enemies, giving the story more depth and understanding. Despite that, I still enjoyed it. The unstable, lust filled interaction between Miki and Conall was funny, the sarcasm was outstanding, just wish I could be that quick witted with comebacks! This book was 'laugh out loud' funny which is always a great ingredient for a good book for me. The sexy scenes were well thought out and very steamy. Could've been a bit more primal but you do get what you pay for so I'm not complaining one bit. Day off work today so off to start on book 3 in the series.A definite winner.

Enjoyed the book. It made me laugh. But I have a question. Why were the hyena pack after Miki .

5 STAR
Im not a fan of samhain publishing, (not a fan of those large type books), i like thick books with small text to get the story going, but this series of hers as she also writes under g a aiken with the dragon series (which is bloody 5 star) this series is absolutley 5 star fantastic, its abosultey hillarious i was creasing up with laughter, the scenes were erotic the story lines fabulous and it was just what i needed after finishing my top author books for the year (feehan/ward/singh/kenyon/cooke/frank). 5 star lots of laughs great story about wolf/tiger shifters crazy ladies with blowing things up lots of guns bikers great scenes lots of alpha type males the dialect was fantastic very very very funny and just.. A great read Shifters, sex and humour.
I could not put this book down. It is sexy, romantic and funny. The story line has depth and the characters Miki and Conall the wolf are strong. This is the second in the series. I read Pack Challenge first and was hooked. I would recommend this book and it is one I will be keeping and will read again.I wont tell you anything about the story line but I felt it was unique and different from other authors I have read. The main female heroine in each book is brilliant and you will enjoy their sexy shifter stories. Their potential mates are awesome.

Absolutely love this series, and it just got better in Miki and Conall's story. There were some really hot moments, and also the humorous laugh out loud moments I've come to expect from this author.
