Shopify Empire: Dominate Search Results, Sell More, and Change Your World

This book is excellent! It is well laid out and easy to follow. Implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies can get complex so it was nice to have a well structured step by step system to follow.The first 35 pages or so of the book walk you through some basic SEO knowledge and store setup. I already had a store fully setup but I found a few things that I had overlooked...so I would recommend going through this section even if you already have your store setup. If you don't, then this pretty much walks your through everything you would need to know.From there the book gets into a plethora of SEO strategies that are based upon researching what Google has said it looks for when indexing content. The author really makes things easy to understand even if you are not familiar with the concepts. There are also lots of images and flowcharts which I found very helpful when I started working on my store. I have a pretty good working knowledge of SEO but I still learned a lot from this section. There were at least 10 - 15 things that I was either not aware of or that I simply had not thought about doing. The overall plan is very thorough and well thought out. I wish I had this a year ago when I was first getting started with Shopify.The final 50 pages of the book get into SEO tools and more advanced strategies such as reverse engineering competitor's websites. For me, this section was pure gold. There were countless tools that I had no idea even existed that can have a huge impact on your site's rankings. As with the rest of the book, everything is easy to follow with loads of images and flowcharts.I would say this book is a must have for anyone who owns a Shopify store. I would have spent a ton of time and money figuring this stuff out on my own. I"m already seeing increases in my organic traffic from Google and even a few of the other lesser search engines like Bing and I'm not even completely finished implementing all of the strategies that the book covers. The book has paid for itself many times over with the increased sales that I'm seeing. This one has been a homerun for me.

Reads well, and is exactly what the description says --- a BASIC book on Shopify. In addition, enough ground-level SEO to be truly useful to those of us whose expertise & interests lie heavily in other areas. Although I've had 2 online businesses (still open) for over 4 years, Shopify will be my first venture in using a stand-alone website to sell my products. This book has enough info to get me going, and the extra info was a welcome bonus. I'd be happy to purchase from Mr. Highland-Giese again.

This is a basic book on shopiify I think for the price is very much underwhelms expectations. There are better books out there. 3 stars

I don't do reviews. In this case I make an exception.Shopify Empire gave me answers to every question I had and a few I hadn't thourght of yet. Very glad I found this book.

This is a great little book - tells you what you need to know and what to do from a store owners point of view - it does not drown you with technical jargon. He does promote his own software tools but not in an overbearing selling way and he does give details of alternative tools.

I really injoied the amount of knowleged the book had. The book was well illustrated and went step by step.

If you know the basics of SEO this book won't teach you much. More of a general best practices book.

The price of the book is kind of ridiculous for what it is, it's $5 ebook, not worth $22 for paperback in my opinion.

Helped me in understanding how to set up our Shopify store.

This is a short and pretty basic book. It should be much cheaper and I felt like much of the effort in the book was to sell the consultancy services of the author. There were also too many typos, which makes you concerned about the quality of the rest of the content.HOWEVER, if you are a beginner in Shopify, like me, there are some real pearls of SEO wisdom in here. Nothing new, exactly, but a really great summary of the issues that we need to address or at least be aware of.If the book was half the price, I wouldn't feel quite so taken-advantage-of and would have given it 5 stars for value added (and could have ignored the typos).
