The Autopsy Files

First, let me state my overall opinion of this DVD."Buy it." If you are at all interested in what the forensic pathologist does, this would be a wise purchase. I did not grow up watching this show and have just discovered it.But, I must be frank about the contents. This show is going on 15 years old, and while very well made, it is tame by todays standards. There is no actual autopsy performed. This show was really a template of todays csi-type programs found on the cable networks. Many of the actual "body shots" are shown in a muted color scheme to flush out the gruesome hues...like I said it is the prototype of the existing narrative driven mystery-death cases you see a hundred programs of today.If you are wanting an all out DVD which takes you through a whole autopsy then I would purchase Dr. Naguchi's Autopsy DVD Voices of the Dead.I am glad I have this DVD in my collection and think if you are reading this review you probably should have it, too!

Again not the approach I was expecting

I cannot believe this novel got so many negative reviews!? I am NOT an avid reader of novels, most of them DO bore me, I hate to admit, I am kind of hard to focus on things. But in reading this novel, it took me by surprise! I was constantly hooked to my phone (downloaded to my android device) taking me only 3 days to read! That was a milestone considering it usually takes me 3 MONTHIS to read a novel, even one I am sort of interested in. It was gripping, intense and bloody gruesome! ALL the important elements needed in a horror novel, and a WONDERFUL ending, justice was served!!! That is the important thing, Good job, Jeff!!

I love the show, I use to always watching it on HBO, I'm hoping to find other episodes of the show.

This HBO series is an informative, fact based presentation of evidence from various cases that have passed through the Medical Examiners office. Dr. Michael Baden is one of the top forensic pathologists in the Unites States. His information and views on the cases presented would be an excellent training aid for Police, Fire or EMT's that are going into their respective fields. All in all this is an excellent DVD for anyone that is interested in topics of this nature. Be advised this is not a show for children due to the graphic nature of each case as it appeared at the time of the crime.

I've watched all of the HBO "Autopsy" shows and highly recommend them to anyone who is into forensics. While some stories can be pretty gruesome (and graphic) the way this show is done is incredible! Michael Baden and others have seen it all and it's amazing how they piece together each of the crimes. I've seen all of the episodes and love when the re-runs come on, I can watch this stuff over and over! A MUST SEE for any forensics fan!!

This series was extremely intriguing and all based on actual accounts. I bought this DVD a few years ago and I'm waiting for the rest of this series to be released if it'll be released. This DVD is recommended by me to anyone who is interested in the fields of forensics and pathology.
