I needed to hang some large (but very lightweight) string lights in the garden, in various locations including a pergola and some fences. These hooks did an excellent job. I drilled 2.5mm holes first to make fitting easy, then they could be screwed in by hand no problem. I did try the supplied fitting tool on a few if them and that worked well - you need to start them by hand first.I used them for direct light hanging (my lights have a little hanging loop) and in some places for hanging the wire. They worked perfectly in both situations.The locking latch is a nice touch.One of the main reasons that I chose this item is the lack of a "shoulder" to set the depth, which annoyingly most "cup hooks" seem to have nowadays. With these ones I can screw them in to whatever depth I want.No idea how weatherproof they will turn out to be but very pleased with their performance in my application.

These are strong hooks, bought them to hang up outside string lights and the catch on the hook stops anything coming loose. You will need to drill holes as the screw on the hook isn't sharp enough to pierce much. They do come with rawlplugs and a metal device that you can use to help you screw the hooks into the wall.

Used to hang some outdoor festoon lights. They seem really decent, spring loaded latch works well, the drill bit to install them quickly was great.

Excellent quality, they come with white raw plugs in the box as well, if needed, the safety clip is a great idea to stop our lights coming off in the wind.

The problem with them is that unless they are facing downwards opening from the bottom, round on the top, you can catch your fingers on them, I know that this sounds logical, but not to everyone including my carpenter!

Robust hooks, seem to be strongly made, with a strong spring clip which works. Come with a helpful drill bit attachment for screwing in or out, if needed. Reasonable value, promptly delivered. No complaints.
