Question 1

Has it been tested for heavy metals?

Accepted Answer

Hi Amber, thanks for your question. The specific heavy metals of concern associated with Astaxanthin (and all Algae related products for that matter) are lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury. These 4 elements are specifically targeted during the heavy metal analysis. The assessment confirms that the algae used to produce our Astaxanthin is cultivated in an non-polluted environment and free of heavy metals, chemicals and over natural and/ or synthetic toxins. Thanks a lot for your question. Yes it's totally GMO and Gluten free. Please have a look at all the ingredients: Natural Astaxanthin (solvent-free extract from Haematoccocus pluvialis mircoalgae), Organic extra virgin olive oil, Non-GMO glycerin and gelatin (capsule). Extraction method: Non-solvent, high-pressure CO2 is used to extract Astaxanthin from the Algae. Hope that would help.
