Must buy
Very comfortable seat, I love it. This seat has made a big difference in riding for both rider and passenger. Night and day compared to stock seat.

Works on all Vulcan 900's 07-16.
I just received the seat today and am taking a long road trip this weekend and will update accordingly. I did ride for an hour straight on it though. That was close to impossible on the stock seat.Firstly, this is not my 1st Mustang seat. I also have one on my Harley. The seat is more firm than the stock seat. Trust when I say this is a GOOD THING.Its not hard like a park bench, but it offers much needed resistance. The stock seat is soft and you sink into it. This seems great but there are serious issues with this. There are pretty important arteries and nerves in the posterior/rear thigh region. With a soft seat you effectively cut off a lot of blood flow to the feet and for guys, your unmentionables. You also tend to pinch the sciatic nerve. After a while you begin to ache, get numb, and just become very uncomfortable. Also, since the stock seat is shaped in an arc, shifting around in the stock seat is impossible. I either had to favor one cheek or slide a bit higher on the seat or just stop all together. This seat, like my other one is more flat and allows shifting about with ease. It also is pocketed in the back to keep you secure. The firmness offers much needed resistance to keep blood flowing well. The rear portion is reinfoced to keep the back rider more stable. The rear seat rides up over the driver seat to give some lower back support. The effects are limited. The lower back problems many experience (myself included) are due to the sciatic nerve being pinched off on the stock seat under the thigh. This problem is already resolved for me with the seat design. After my hour long ride I got off the bike easily. Nothing tingled and I could still feel my manhood. I used to think calling someone "numb n*ts" was pretty funny. Actual numb n*ts is in fact quite the opposite!Fit and finish is of high quality. It looks like it belongs on the bike. It compliments the curves and contours of the bike. The price is high; I get that. The Kawasaki gel seat is about half the price. The makers of the gel seat also designed and engineered the stock seat and the ride and limitations are going to be similar...just one has gel. But with or without gel if you can't shift around a bit then "hot spots" occur and the underlying issues remain.I highly recommend this product without hesitation!**Update!!!I have ridden on a 2 1/2 hour trip and a 4 hour trip since this was purchased. I also ride almost an hour to work each way daily. This seat is the BEEZ NEEZ! My back problems caused from the daily ride with the stock seat are fading fast. I didn't require "walk it off" stops that I used to. I'm able to shift around and scoot up and back. I love this seat. Honestly if this seat didn't fix the problem I was going to consider selling the bike. Will have this ride for a looooong time!

Quick and easy. Took the mounts from the previous seat and ...
I purchased this for my 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic.Installation: Quick and easy. Took the mounts from the previous seat and installed them on my new seat. Note: The seat was difficult at first to latch on. But, by hopping on it, especially the passenger seat, it is now firmly attached.Comfort: This is a very comfortable seat. Previously, I could ride about an hour before I was sore. My wife, a great passenger, was also sore after an hour. As the rides got longer (6-8 hours) it became painful. For her, I purchased an AirHawk passenger pad. That helped. But, we were still a bit sore. This new seat is very comfortable. After an hour of riding, I am not hunting for a comfortable place. This thing is a must.Fit: This is a bit bulkier than stock. The front is a little thicker, so you notice it between your legs a bit more. The stock seat is somewhat rounded, like a horse saddle. So, I found myself hunting for a comfortable place, shifting around when I became uncomfortable. This seat, is more like a true seat. You fit into place, with your lower back (really, just a little lower than the belt level), firmly against it.Fit and Finish: Beautiful. Studs, Conchos, Cover, and finish cannot be beat.

Simply Amazing
Let me start off by saying that I have had back problems all my life. I have found comfort riding my 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT because I think the vibration of the bike really helps my back. The problem was, the factory seat was such a cheap piece that I couldn't ride long distances with it.Pros:- Quality. This thing is hand built. The leather is hand stitched, the foam is Mustang's on custom made foam, the base of the seat is cast right in house and these things are assembled with the top quality in mind. The leather is nice and everything is solid- Fit. Using the factory hardware, this thing fit nice and snug. Once installed, it is not loose and doesn't vibrate at all.- Support. This thing has the perfect firmness and support. The passanger seat acts as a back rest and provides a great deal of lumbar support for my lower back.- Directions. As all good products should, this came with bike specific instructions on how to install the seat with pictures and everything- Looks. This thing looks so much better than the stock seat on my bike. It really stands out as a quality piece.Cons:- Price. This thing is pricey but it is hand made and top quality which makes the high cost a bit easier to swallow.- This thing sits higher and farther back from the handlebars which made me change the risers to bring the handlebars closer to me. I am 6' 4" tall with pretty long arms so if I needed risers, I'm sure shorter people would as well. This thing, to me, is worth every penny. I contemplated purchasing the one that had the removable back rest but couldn't justify the higher price. I feel like the back support from the passanger seat is suffecient though.

Fantastic Seat
I recently purchased this seat beacuse I was getting back aches from the stock seat on my Vulcan 900 classic. The stock was ok for short distances, but after 15 minures of riding, my back was killing me. It took about 3 minutes to remove the seat bracket from the old seat, bolt it to the Mustang seat and then installed it on the bike. Unbelievably fast and easy. As soon as I sat on the seat I noticed a 100% improvement in confort. The seat was much firmer than the stock seat. There is extra support from the back portion of the seat. The seat forces you to sit up straighter on the bike which in turn reduces stress in the pressure points in the lower back. The new seat is about 1 1/2 inch higher. I am 5-11, 180 lbs and my feet rest comfortable on the ground when stopped. I didnt notice any difference in the handle bar height and comfort. The longer I rode on the seat the more comfortable it became. I imagine that after a break in period, it will be even better. This seat has eliminated the numb butt syndrome. The seat was a little on the expensive side but it was well worth the money because it eliminated the sore back while riding. The seat matches the bike perfectly, down to the silver studs. I would highly reccomend this seat for its comfort, quality and value. It should last a lifetime if taken care of. The Mustang website shows how the seat is constructed and how to maintain the seat. I love it..
