The original 1999 batteries were in the space shuttle and the satellite, but the batteries were removed from the truck. Why they were removed from the truck and not the other two? I have no idea. There was battery acid all over the bed of the truck and shuttle. Even after cleaning the corrosion from the battery terminals there was still no sign of life. I have purchased many old Hess trucks from Amazon sellers and have had all good experiences, this one should go straight to the dump. I'm returning it.
