An Honest Review by Brandon
Grass, simple right. Yeah we all know that is so untrue. Between stubbornness to grow, needing specific caring, and did you know that every bag, at least that I have read also has weeds in it? Yup, what the dirt.Anyway, grass is a hard one. First reason, if not cared for properly or planted at the right time, well, you get nothing. Just dirt and maybe some weeds.Second, what is the actual grass seeds. As I mentioned a lot of grass seed has weeds in it. Actually really upset me when I found this out.Third, your soil aka yard or dirt. Needing x amounts of nitrogen, phosphate yadda yadda.I mean honestly I can put an exhaust on a car easier than I can grow some clean grass. This isn't even because a lack of a green thumb. There are so many variables that come into play. There is no one size fits all. You would think going with a product like this would make it easier cause it has fertilizer. Yeah, it may help a little, but once the grass seed digs into your soil, it may not be enough. With all that out the way this product itself is so very mixed. I can get it to grow under the correct conditions. Under those exact same conditions, dirt! Weeds, yup definitely there too. Honestly, it is like that with every grass seed brand I have tried. So it really comes down to being stubborn. Keep on trying, keep on seeding, keep on weeding.Good luck my friends.

Beautiful
Wasn't a fan at first. Seems to take a bit to come in but when it does it is beautiful!

You need top soil and lots of water
I’ve tried this product twice. Btw, Scott’s said they would issue me a refund when the first bad didn’t work and I never got it. So I don’t think their guarantee holds up.But, to get this to work, you NEED to first lay down some top soil. The directions make it seem like it’s optional, but really the seeds have like a 1% chance of making it without that layer of soil vs above 80% with that layer of soil. I went to my local depot and picked up a bag of lawn starter top soil. Then you really need to pay attention to the weather, don’t have the temps drop below 60F and don’t let it exceed 95F really. And water it 3 times a day. During the first 2 weeks. After that, twice a day. I had the seed growing and then the 100F temps hit for a month here and the grass started to either die. But it will work if you apply in the Spring. Early spring is still too cold for us in the mornings.

It only worked in some areas.

Good Stuff
It sort of smells like manure, but my Bermuda grass isn't complaining. It is looking very healthy after applying this fertilizer and watering in.
