RSVP International Onion Goggles, Fog Free Lenses, Safely Prepare Food Without Tears

First, I've got to say that I tried ALL the remedies for onion tears that are out there. ALL OF THEM!! Nothing worked. I even tried other types of goggles & safety glasses but they just didn't do the job. I would have tears streaming down my face, have to run out of the kitchen when I couldn't stand it any longer, and then my eyes would continue to burn for hours afterwards. I started using dehydrated onions in my cooking as often as I could, but it's just not the same. Then I discovered these.After a year of hesitation (yes, I waited that long), I finally purchased them. The day after they arrived I put them on and sliced an onion, and had NO tears!!! Not one! At first my husband was laughing because they looked so silly, but by the time I was done I was the one laughing out of pure joy! These work!!So, if you've tried all the tips and tricks out there and none of them work for you, get a pair of these. They're worth a try. I would prefer to have paid a lot less for these (I agree they are overpriced), but now that I have them, it was worth it!!

Simply put.... best goggles for cutting my onions! Orders a pair for my mom.... she laughed when she opens them! Now is a huge fan! This is my second pair and they fit super comfortable and do a fantastic job with keeping the tears away! Guess you can use them for other things too but I find this is the most helpful way when cutting onions!

It is perfect for me but it will not fit over glasses. I use it when cutting onions and no more tears.

Bottom line - These are going to work to varying degrees based on the size and shape of your face.For whatever reason, lately my eyes have become less tolerant of onions. I can usually power through it because I can chop an onion pretty quick but if I have to chop more than one... or, god forbid, I'm making onion soup... I'm going to have a bad time. I've tried all the tricks - rinsing, cutting out the core, popping them in the fridge a few minutes.... and these tricks help (some more than others) but really, none of them are quicker, easier, or more effective than just popping on these glasses. They are comfortable and they don't impair my vision at all. My face is on the small size and I think a larger face would find these uncomfortable (I'm a 5'3" woman for reference). The only reason I didn't rate these 5 stars is that I can't get them to completely fit snugly against my face. There is a small gap at the top of my nose where, if I'm wearing them longer than a single onion, I will have to push them back into place and there will never be an airtight seal. If these were a tad smaller, they'd be perfect for me.Final bonus - I look amazing wearing them. At least, this is what I assume based on the stares my husband and teenage son give me when have them on.

Since I like doing all my cooking for the week on the weekends, I often end up chopping a lot of onions at once and crying my eyes out. I bought these and they really do work. Today, I wore them while chopping one onion. A little later, I needed to chop another onion and forgot to put on the goggles. The difference was remarkable. Chopping the second onion without goggles really made me tear up and left my eyes stinging. I'd had no problem with the first onion.The goggles are well made. They don't feel cheap. The plastic case that they come in can be used to store them in as well. With good care, I believe they should last a long time. I can understand what some reviewers have said about fit. My face is more narrow than round. They fit perfectly and are comfortable. For me, this was a great purchase.

I ordered these in September of last year, 2010, and they are great products. My problem with these is that they are not durable. I have a very small head, however they are still tight. This is not a problem for me, but the plastic is already starting to crack badly. If someone with a large to normal sized head wears these, they will break quickly. I'd be better off buying swimming goggles. They won't break like this and will fit any shaped head. They'll also look just as weird, so I might as well save some money next time and just buy those. I'd recommend anyone else considering these think about the same thing.

These DO work, however they would work 1000x better if they had an adjustable strap around the head instead of being like normal glasses. They don't stay flush to my face without pressure holding them there, and they sag off more the longer I have them on...and since my hands are all onion-y I can't keep pushing them on. Even so, they are way better than nothing. Chewing gum works about as well as these for me, but I have braces now so I'm glad I have the goggles. They are more like glasses than goggles though...I will be trying to fashion a strap to hold them on my face better! I have a somewhat small/narrow face I guess? My ski goggles are Smith I/OS in case that helps anyone (that is the small size designed more for small women's faces).

I got these for my mom, who cooks almost everyday. Being in a South Asian family, onions and other eye irritating foods are very common in all our dishes. She was blown away by how much these helped, considering how especially sensitive she was to onions when she cut them. They work great.

This is my second pair which I use when chopping onions and they really work. Just don't let other family members with big heads use them as they will break them! They are quite narrow. I would have ordered the pink ones if they were not more expensive, to keep the male members from 'borrowing' them! A very good product.

Tipptopp! Es ist wirklich gut. Wir haben mit Zwiebeln und Kren probiert, war super, keine Tränen und nichts gemerkt. Daher absolut wert zu empfehlen. Der Preis ist zwar nicht niedrig, aber mein Gott, für schmerzhaftes Kochen lohnt sich.

J'adore cet article ! je remercie la personne qui a pensé à inventer ces lunettes !! Alors, je ne supporte pas de couper les oignons, c'est toujours une galère (larmes à grosses gouttes, ça pique même plusieurs minutes après...) , mettre les oignons sous l'eau je n'aime pas trop : ce n'est pas pratique, ça gâche de l'eau et ça enlève le jus des oignons. je passe sur les âneries du genre mettre dans la bouche une cuillère, une allumettes...etc. lol !Alors que là : G E N I A L ! j'ai l'impression que ces lunettes ont été pensé pour moi, en tous cas la mousse épouse bien la forme de mon visage et ça fonctionne très bien !Reste à y faire bien attention surtout à la mousse, bien remettre dans son petit étui en plastique !Alors oui, ça fait rire un peu mes amis lorsque je leur parle de cet article là et, bon, ce sont des lunettes qui doivent rester dans la cuisine c'est sûr vu le look...mais en fait ça va...avant j'utilisais des lunettes de plongé...!!!
