The size and position of the screen allows for tea leaves to escape into your cup...exactly what I don't want. When pouring you must be extra careful, because it drips around the lid. It did keep my tea hot for a reasonable amount of time and it looks nice. The color is brilliant. Use it with tea bags and the problems are solved.
