Would buy again, I love this product
I use for school and work presentations. I would buy this product again and recommend to anyone. However advice is to wait for sales, sometimes you can get really good deals from Amazon for this product.Pros:1) Good Battery Life - after over 3 months of regular usage, the battery is still good. Easy to replace with spare battery in case it runs out.2) Red LED for pointing at slides is clear - shows up clear no matter if the presentation uses a dark or light background. Very good strength and works well from 15 feet away.4) Works for Apple and Windows - I sometimes have to present using different operating systems. This will work on both. Huge plus.5) Works for powerpoint and Prezi. I use both interchangeably, and this works with PP And Prezi on both Apple and Windows. ++++6) No software to download - Just plug in, wait a few seconds, then ready for use.7) Intuitive Controls - Easy to use and understand.8) Ergonomic - Have held for 1+ hour presentations. Comfortable to hold. Also light which is a plus.9) Travel Friendly - Small and easy to transport. Comes with a nice Travel case. The part of the remote that you plug into the computer you are using fits into the remote, so everything is in one small convenient package.Cons:1) Would have preferred the ability to charge via USB rather than using batteries. However, the battery life is good so this isn't a huge con for me.2) Would like to have ability to play Videos on PowerPoint with this. It's not often, but sometimes I have videos embedded in my presentation. I can set it to where it will play automatically upon starting the slide, however a function to pause and play would be useful. I don't really use this much, but for people with a lot of videos in their presentation, this may be a concern.

These things work great for your wandering presentation needs. 5 stars!
There are a lot of remote presenter and PowerPoint clickers out there, but for lots of things like this (wireless laptop accessories - mouse/keyboard combos, remote presenters, USB cameras, etc.), Logitech is my go-to vendor. I have been disappointed by other vendors over the years, but so far, never disappointed with Logitech kit.And so this nice little easy to use, palm-sized presenter remote has proven. It does everything I need - forward, backward, and "return focus to PowerPoint" buttons all work as expected. My cat loves the laser pointer, and is writing his own review that you should ignore because he does eventually get frustrated with that damned dot that he can't catch.Sometimes the laser pointer works for presenting, mostly it does not these days, due to either a glass screen on large TVs in use today, or one-way screens for rear projection that the laser does not show up on... but none of that's a ding on the presenter remote, which projects a very nice laser beam. It's more a commentary on our need to be flexible when traveling and presenting in various environments.I have walked 30-40 feet away from the laptop doing presentations, and had no issues with advancing my slides. I can't really imagine getting much further from the laptop and screen, and not losing my audience, so as far as I'm concerned, this has all the distance I'll ever need. I can't advise on the max distance, since I'll never go looking for those limits, but it's lots further than 40 feet.Lastly, this is a very pleasant device to hold and use, in an ergonomic sense. It is extremely well-designed for the human hand, and I would say for any size of human hand. Many of these I've owned and used as loaners from various venues are straight tube shapes, cylindrical, longer than necessary, slightly unwieldy and awkward feeling in your hand. This one - from the first second, it was comfortable and the buttons are just where they should be for easy, intuitive use. Exactly what I wanted, and what I've come to expect from Logitech - my go-to for stuff like this. FIVE STARS, no dings, all good, highly recommended.Boot-note: this one has no timer function. Logitech makes a couple with that feature, but I don't find it useful and don't want to pay $20 extra for a feature I don't need. Your call entirely which way to go on that consideration, but I'm extremely pleased with my choice and my new toy.

Two thumbs up for Logitech r800
his simple $80 device has one main function: discreetly switch slides during a presentation. What the R800 does besides going back and forth makes all the difference. There are little things, like textured slideshow buttons and a green laser pointer that has an extreme level of contrast that works even on TVs. But that, minus the green laser, can be found on the less expensive R400 for $50.Two key features make the R800 stand out: range and timers. The R800 has an outstanding 100 ft. range, which during testing went to roughly 90-ish ft., give or take (not tested for walls), meaning you could leave the stage and keep the presentation moving. That also means you can leave the probably ugly computer you use off the stage and out of sight. Timers is a too-simplistic feature that is great but could really use the option of programming the vibrate-alerts. Users can set any duration for the presentation, and the R800 will vibrate with five minutes left, two, and when time’s up.Logitech has done a great job with all of the other little things. The R800 is a plug-and-play device, and it works on any Windows or Mac computer without installation, Windows RT included. The five buttons are perfectly placed on the face and the timer buttons are hidden so they aren’t accidentally pressed or noticed by Rambo-style presenters. There have been some purported issues with battery life and the battery indicator, but after several weeks of use I haven’t noticed any flaw or trouble. It’s simple: if you make presentations, for small groups or large, in board rooms or for a live (studio) audience, the R800 is the best “clicker” I’ve ever used. It nails down almost everything you could want from the one thing you would actually carry on-stage.Over a two thumbs up, I will buy another when I lose it or leave it lying around and some e walks off with it.Please thumbs back if this review helped.
