BT600

The Topdon BT600 is a great piece of kit. It came nicely packaged. Nice box with plenty of info about the item. Inside the box is a nice carry bag with the kit inside. Once I got the unit out the first thing I noticed was the feel. It felt nice in the hands and feels like it's solid and well made. This can also be said for the crocodile clips. The quality in these can be seen in my photos. Again the feel in the hand is good and the tension on the clips is perfect. Topdon have also fed a wire to each side of the crocodile clips so less chance of getting a bad connection. There's a VGA type connector to connect the leads to the unit, making for a better, more secure connection. Only once the tester is connected to a battery will it power up. The screen is a good size and in colour which makes it much easier to use/read/see. There are different options to choose from, allowing you to perform a battery test, a cranking test and do a charging test. The tests are very easy and quick to perform and you get the results back within seconds. Once you have performed your test you can click print and instantly receive a printed version of the on screen results via the built in printer. Inside the packaging was 3 rolls of printing paper that is very quick and easy to install. So the Topdon BT600 battery tester is a great piece of kit and in my opinion a must have for anyone testing automotive batteries

So thought this would be good as I have a lot of battery's on cars, vans and tested it out for first time and was pleased how easy it was to test, i only filemd the battery test as was easy and simple to do and love the print out as well i tested all my mates as well had a mix bag ha. The video shows how simple and easy it was to use and the results are spot on. We tested some new and old and found some was bad the one in video is a year old battery Defo recommend this to help keep a eye on the health. It did other things as well again very simple each time it's the same settings as you go through so simple ans easy to understand.

Another TopDon to my collection, This is an excellent piece of kit and would highly recommend this.

I wanted a comprehensive machine to test batteries and charging etc and this seemed to fit the bill and wasn't out of the way on price, especially as there was a deal on it at the time. It's easy to use, clamp the crocodile clips on to your battery, either in or out of the car, and select from the onscreen menu which tests you need. I'm taking a star off, maybe it should be two, because of the length of the cable. If your battery is in the engine compartment on the same side as your steering wheel, you might be ok to sit in the driver's seat and operate the device as you need to for some tests. However, if the battery is in the boot, under a seat, on the opposite side to the wheel, you will struggle to carry out the tests single handed. No thought has gone into the length of the cable, it's about five feet, needs to be AT LEAST eight feet. For existing users I'd like to see an extension cable made available to lengthen the cable supplied, and for new models a longer one piece cable. That's my only real issue with this machine but can be a disabling one if you operate single handed as I do. The printer feature is good, some information on where to obtain printer rolls would be useful, and the software update features are useful too. The device will perform starting tests, charging tests and battery health checks fairly quickly, but we only have the manufacturer's word for the accuracy of these tests, the only way to check it is to compare the results with those of another tester. For routine maintenance checks on the starting and charging systems this is a useful tool, if you suspect something is wrong with your electrical systems this tool might help you pinpoint the problem, along with the symptoms of the issue. The machine does not have an internal battery, it uses the battery on test for power, it also does not store past results, if you need a record print it off. This tester is light and of a manageable size, and stores in its own bag when not in use. So, in conclusion, I think it's a worthwhile purchase, to add to your set of testing tools, if you can get it at the right price. Major letdown for me is the cable length, I can see that being an issue for many other users especially on bigger vehicles.

Easy to use, seems accurate, but update it first from topdon, download a software suite and update it from that software.

A must have to buy product and excellent quality

Strong and accurate device

Excellent product. This unit is replacing a printer integrated Midtronics that i broke the cable and by the time i added shipping and cost it woukd have not been able to repair. This unit is much faster responding than Midtronics unit i used to use in my shop before. This tests battery, starter system and alternator all in one unit and provides a printout for my referance. I had attatched a picture of the alternator ripple test it performs in order to determine if it working or failed. Best part is this uniteven came with 3 printer rolls that yiu can get for any cash machine in the package I am very happy and would recommend to anyone!

Great products
