we bought this for a trip to Portugal and for future overseas trips, but we like it so much that we plan to use it for all our US travel too. There are plenty of places to charge iPad, phones, watches, kindles etc. and having everything in one place makes it a lot easier to get out the door in the morning, recharge at night and checkout without leaving charging cords behind.. The adapter doesn't take up a lot of room in the suitcase, but is big enough to be noticeable, so it gets back into the suitcase for the next trip We definitely recommend this travel adapter.

Well I just received it today so I can’t say how it works. So not knowing exactly what I needed for Tanzania, I grabbed this one on a recommendation.
