We lost or old remote and then found it and was all chewed up because of the dog. We weren’t sure if buying this remote would work but it’s perfect. It literally connected to our Roku and never had any issues. It connected right away and was super easy to use.

One of my older Roku remotes suddenly stopped working a few nights ago. I was annoyed because I was trying to purchase a streaming video for my young daughter. It was nap time and we both were tired and fussy. I somehow managed to buy the video but couldn’t play it because certain Roku remote buttons died a sudden death. Then I remembered there are certain universal remote type apps one can get on their smart phones or iPads. Aha! I quickly found a free Roku remote app and was able to use it instantly. I still needed a Roku remote but I didn’t know which one and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money either (especially since I could use the Roku remote app I found for free!) I found my Roku’s model number by looking under the Roku unit. It was one listed for this remote. I bought this for about $6 and just popped two AAA batteries in it. It worked instantly. Done. Yay!

I am absolutely thrilled with this remote. After reading some of the reviews I almost did not purchase it. When I opened the package I was prepared for a challenge because some customers complained that it is impossible to pair the remote. Well, I put batteries in and that was it. No pairing…. No programming needed!! It works perfectly with my Roku Express. Any key on the remote turns the tv on. There is no volume button as noted by some customers but I already knew that before I purchased and that is fine with me because I also have a 3rd generation Roku remote which does not have a volume button. I always just use the tv remote for volume. I will keep using it and provide an update if anything charges,

Got this for my girlfriend whose remote disappeared, not sure if because of puppy, or kids but it works as it should. I don't believe in 5 stars, as there's no such thing as perfection, but the remote is easy to use, and there's no setting anything up. Just throw in batteries and point and click. Check your model number on your Roku first, so that you don't order the wrong one. This remote I believe only works for certain models. So definitely check that first. Not a bad buy at all.

No volume control..but works for all else

This works great with my Roku. Right out of the box, no programing just put in the batteries and use. A+

So my dog Jude will literally eat anything and I do mean anything. I buy these remotes a couple times a year. Always connects easily to my Roku. It is a remote that is compatible with most Roku systems with the exception of Roku TV’s. It’s about as comfortable in my hand as it is in Jude’s mouth. In a normal situation of wear and tear I would say it’s durable, in Jude’s mouth I can’t say that’s its chew proof. Overall it’s worth the money for what you get!

The product was very easy to use and started working effortlessly. The problem is the fast forward/rewind controls don't work very well. They skip back and forth while using and are cheaply made. Otherwise the unit works fine. I spent a few extra dollars and replaced it and my new unit has no issues fast forwarding correctly through ads.

My husband claims the remote got lost in the depths of our couch during our move 🤷🏻‍♀️ I assumed all would be fine since we can use the Roku from our phones, right? Wrong. Couldn’t hook it up to the new internet without the remote. Considered purchasing a whole new Roku since after browsing, the cost of remote replacements was half as expensive as the Roku itself and I didn’t want to waste money buying a remote that didn’t even work. Lived off of Netflix on the Xbox for a few months but got too annoyed with that and decided to take a chance with this cheaper remote. Browsed and did not quite see our model number on the list but some very similar. Arrived today and this works for us. Yay! Happy with my $12 gamble. Haha

It is very cheaply made. It's really light compared to our other 2 Roku remotes. The buttons do not work well and the battery door is always falling off.

We somehow misplaced our remote for our Roku Express. Ordered this remote and it works fine as a replacement. Negative reviews seem to be from people with the wrong type of Roku system.
