Easy to use
I bought the dye for synthetics as I wasn’t sure what my rugs were made of. I didn’t follow the directions on the bottle. I used hot water in my washing machine and filled it less than half fullI dyed 4 small bathroom rugs. Two came out very bright fuchsia and other two lighter pink I think it’s a great product.

Dye works great :)
I wanted to use the same swimsuit I bought for my last vacation for my upcoming vacation. But, didn’t want all the photos to look the same. I ordered some of this RIT synthetic dye. It worked great. I’ve washed it a few times just to make sure that all the excess dye is out. I really love the color and I am so happy that I was able to change the look. Very easy process. I simply follow the directions.

Definitely use the stove method
This is my second dye job and I have more details. Soak items in your sink. Boil a large pot of water at least 2 gallons like tamale cooking pot size. Add white vinegar and dish soap, stir together. Add the dye when it is boiling and stir. Meanwhile soak the items in hot water in your sink, make sure they are saturated. Leave water in. Once boiling, add the dye batch to the items in the sink. With gloves and a large metal spoon, stir items and ensure fabric is equally saturated with color. Keep items in the dye bath at least 30 minutes (less for less color penetration). Remove items from the sink into a plastic bucket or garbage can to transfer to washing machine. Wash on hot, add mild detergent. Dry on hot to ensure color fastness. The only thing I would do differently is buy the color fast for synthetic fabric as it could have made the curtains more pink.

Great for build a bears!
I make custom build a bears and I love using this dye on them!! It works really well when using water that just came off the stove with a little bit of dish soap!!

Stove needed
Unaware of the quality of the dye but be warned if you are unaware this dye requires you to use a stove and more so a stock pot.

Did not work on my synthetic fabric.
I purchased this synthetic fabric dye for my synthetic dress and it barely left a tint of color. I followed the instructions, I used the appropriate amount of product and now I’m left with my synthetic dress that’s a weird hue of pink. Maybe I will try fabric spray paint? Couldn’t be any worse? (Famous last words!) lol!
