HONKID Keyboard Foam, Sound Dampening Foam for Mechanical Keyboard Bottom, Made of LE-20 Poron, Black (H 3mm)

I used a combination of this and neoprene for my keyboard and they sound great together!

Excellent foam. Works great. The only complaint I could possibly have is that they don't pre-cut it into perfect sizes for keyboards. You'd think they'd do that to save on wasted foam and just provide one size fits all for the various form factors but no biggie, just cut it to size and you're good to go.

There is probably a bunch of stuff you could put in your keyboard to dampen sound lying around your house, but you were curious, and the internet led you here, to poron foam. It's true, this stuff is good. I had a fun little project upgrade a budget Redragon board with Outemu reds (the most pingy, hollow board I've ever heard), and this poron foam combined with aditional sound dampening foam between the PCB and the plate and a tape mod turned this awful-sounding board into an absolute DELIGHT to type on. Again, poron foam is just part of the equation, but this stuff worked, and I've got a bit left over since the board was TKL and there's enough foam for a full size board. Would buy again!

Honestly for the price I feel like you should get more than one keyboards worth. Not like 20sq ft or anything but dang. It does help get some deeper thocks though! Easy to cut to fit, sounds great, and stable.

It's really hard to put into words how this works.If you are looking for a deeper thock sound and premium feel for your switches, this is the kit for you. I also paired this with a Poron gasket and pads (the little squares with cutouts that the switches rest on).With all three kits installed it takes your keyboard to enthusiast level.The foam needs to be cut to the desired size to put on the bottom of your board. That was easy enough just measure and match.Depending on your board you might have to make little custom changes, but it is worth it if your into modifying. For mine I had to make a little u shape cutout for where the USB-C port was as this raised it to much and wouldn't align with the port.

Do you have a mechanical keyboard that sounds a bit tinny, or maybe a little hollow? Is it cheap and mostly made of plastic? Buy this. It'll feel like your keyboard just added 2-3x the value.

it’s totally my fault for not checking the thickness, but it’s sturdy and dense. it helped deepen the sound of my keyboard for a good thock, but i can tell that the keyboard doesn’t love having so much foam up in there so i may have to replace it someday. no issues with the foam! there was also more than enough for my full sized keyboard!

What a huge difference this HONKID keyboard foam has made in my home office. When typing at my desk it sometimes sounds like I’m striking the wood surface with my fingers instead of the keys. Not only that, but the keyboard would shift around constantly like it was on roller skates.Placing my full-size keyboard on this thin LE-20 Poron foam has solved all of my problems. Now when typing I barely hear a thing. Have more bounce with each key press too. It’s like running on one of those tracks made of Astroturf. Don’t make as many mistakes neither. Guess the lack of noise and extra bounce when striking each key is the reason why.My keyboard also stays firmly in place when typing. The thin foam itself does move around though. Probably if I’d opted for the 4mm thick one wouldn’t encounter these slip sliding issues. Think HONKID should come out with a model featuring a non-skid surface on one side.All in all, I’m happy with this product. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but it does work as advertised.
