Works great.
Bought this to carry all metal (36 oz) gov. 10mm 1911. Carries the weight great and has just the right amount of cant on it I have a number of DeSantis holster and never had one that didn't carry the gun well, high and tight.

Excellent Retention
Overall, I really like this holster. The one issue I have with it, however, is there is not enough clearance between the holster and the grip of my 1911 (SA Garrison). I bang my middle finger on the holster every time I draw my pistol.

Fits S&W Hi Power like a glove
Got this for my Smith and Wesson Hi Power. Thought it would work, gave it a shot. It is perfect. Love the black leather with the look of the gun. And it wears well on my belt. Good purchase.

Comfortable
I own several DeSantis holsters for over 25 years. All are well made and have a great warranty. This holster fits my 1911 like a glove and is very comfortable!

Pretty outstanding
Great fitment on a 5 inch government sized 1911. Tension adjustment and smooth leather feels great. I took off a star because it is molded for the safety off. I'm sure it will loosen up over time to allow for cocked and locked but we'll see.

Beautifully holster.
These are beautifully factory mass made holsters. Good value for your dollars. As expected, a little tight on first insertion of the pistol but they do loosen up as they are used.
