I recently tried the Tower 28 MakeWaves Mascara, and it has quickly become a staple in my makeup routine. This mascara delivers impressive volume and length without any clumping or flaking, which is a huge plus for me. This mascara has a learning curve but I like it. It builds veeeery slowly so at first I thought it didn’t do much, but it does build with the right technique. The trick is to apply a coat, wait about half a minute for it to dry, then apply a second coat or more. It can be built up to extreme length and volume when I apply it this way. As far as performance, it smudges a tiny bit but less than most other mascaras I’ve tried. And it’s one of the few mascaras that doesn’t irritate my eyes and holds a curl decently well throughout the day.

I tested this mascara out looking for something clean that was easy to remove and would make my thick eyelashes look good.Pros:*This mascara brush helps separate eyelashes so they don’t stick together.*It is easy to thickly coat eyelashes.*It lasts all day.Cons:*This mascara is a dry formula, I put a little saline (5 drops) in after 3 weeks of daily use and we are back to the brand new consistency.*It has a tendency to clump a little bit, I think this is where the slight flaking occurs. The saline drops did help this a little bit.*It isn’t hard to remove, but it takes more effort than I expected from a tubing mascara. I usually have to really soak my eyelashes before rubbing off the mascara. It does smudge when it comes off and leaves my eyes a little dark if I am just washing my face and not scrubbing it off in the shower.

Bought because it was highly recommended for sensitive, dry eyes. I’ve used it twice, and it’s more of an eye irritant than a great mascara for my sensitive eyes! It does not look good, it’s difficult to clean off, and it does flake into tiny particles. Ouch! Annoyed that I spent $20+ for this tiny tube of mascara I’ll never use again. Might as well have bought some cheap mascara at the Dollar Tree, literally just as painful & quite possibly less attractive. It dries to this lifeless grayish brown, not black.

Not what I expected for the price. Dry and hard to apply. Cheap drugstore mascaras do way better job.

I LOVE this mascara! It coats every lash, gives volume, it’s buildable, and does not flake or smudge. It’s my perfect mascara!

I really wanted to like this mascara. My lashes are naturally very straight, so I curl them before putting mascara on, and I only like mascaras that build volume quickly. This doesn’t build quickly, pretty slow, in fact. It took 4 coats to get roughly the volume I like, and even then it wasn’t enough. My lashes also did not keep the curl. It weighed them down.. not all the way, but almost.ALSO, my eyes burn when wearing this mascara. There’s only been a couple other mascaras that I’m allergic to, and for this supposedly being a “clean” product, I’m very disappointed. This is only like the 3rd mascara I’ve tried that burn my eyes, and I’ve tried probably 30 mascaras. I waited too long before putting it on, and now my return/refund window is closed. So I feel like I completely waisted my money.. and this mascara definitely isn’t cheap.UPDATE: they do have excellent customer service so that is a huge plus
