Failed within hours
This is one of the very few matrices available on Amazon that doesn't black out both screens for 2–4 seconds when changing the input on one of the screens. This is typically an issue when you're in the middle of a Mario Kart session on your Wii U, and your other half decides to play Singstar on the PS4. The only time both screens go black is when they are set to the same input, i.e. both on PS4, and then changing the input on one of them; as this is a situation that's unlikely to occur often, I thought this was an acceptable compromise. The problems started when the first consoles I connected, the PS3 and Wii U, only played sound in stereo, despite having worked fine in surround sound before hooking them up to this matrix. A quick look in the system settings of these consoles showed that they had somehow defaulted back to stereo, but changing this to multichannel output rectified this. The PS4 and Xbox One S, however, refused to work in anything but stereo. On the PS4 there is simply no opton to force multichannel output, and the Xbox One S insisted that my 7.2 channel Onkyo AV amp does not support multichannel. Then the matrix started to misbehave, showing devices on outputs they weren't connected to, e.g. it would should the PS4 on input 1 when it was connected to input 4, etc. Eventually it completely froze and wouldn't change inputs at all. It then turned out it had also shorted my Duronic [HRS1031] HDMI switch that was connected to one of the inputs, permanently destroying it. After initially not responding to my message, the seller sent out a replacement matrix very quickly, and while this didn't freeze or show devices on the wrong inputs, it still didn't work with the PS4 and Xbox One S in multichannel audio mode.A subsequent message sent to the seller on November 18 to report the ongoing surround sound issue, as well as the damaged Duronic switch, remains unanswered to date. Amazon have since refunded me for the Yinglun matrix and I have now replaced it with the AV Access 4KMX42 HDMI matrix, which worked out of the box in surround sound on all 4 consoles without having to change the audio settings. As a bonus, the AV Access matrix doesn't black out any screens under any condition, so no acceptable compromises. While the seller was very quick to replace the defective unit, I cannot rate this product more than one star. The fact that two units failed to work with with the PS4 and Xbox One S in surround sound, with one of those units developing an electrical fault within hours of receiving it and damaging a connected piece of hardware, combined with the poor communication on the seller's part, means that I can't recommend neither this product nor this seller.

Great box does what I need.
Great box, easy to use and works great to connect my consoles to my PC monitor. Clear instructions and up and running in minutes, I always leave my unit on and never had a problem yet. Would of been nice to have a visual/audio cue for switching 5.1 on/off, other than that perfect for me.

Good for Video. Not so good for audio connections.
The review by ‘Joseph Bowman’ looks suspiciously fake to me – “did not waver under its use”. Yes, quite.Video: does the job. Accepts all sources/display (switching takes up to 5sec), can split signal between monitor and projector.Audio: audio jack is poor, tried a number of audio leads and headphones – only one was a tight fit The digital audio output simply doesn’t work when connected to AVR – I’ve been using a digital-analogue converter to connect the TV tuner to the AVR, and it works perfectly well, but no sound whatsoever connecting Yinglun digital to AVR. Perhaps it needs direct digital-to-digital to work. but 3.5 audio to AVR (once I found a tight-fitting plug) was alright.Battery included with remote.

Does not work well with the Elgato HD60 (HDCP issues)
This device works fine if you just want to have a device (or multiple) being outputted to two displays, but if you plan on using it with a device that has anything to do with HDCP, it brings around a lot of problems such as signal drops and strange screen artefacts. I had to reset/reconnect my Elgato HD60 almost 5 - 10 times a day to get it to work normally with this HDMI Matrix - stay away from it if this is your intended use!I bought a different HDMI Matrix from a local store and it has worked great since.

PS4 and Sky HD box connected to 2 outputs LG HD TV and HD Projector and output is perfect. I am also using the optical out direc
Works as expected,In terms of the video, I currently have 3 items connected Chromecast, PS4 and Sky HD box connected to 2 outputs LG HD TV and HD Projector and output is perfect.I am also using the optical out directly to my 5.1 amp and it's working perfectly with all 3 sources, which means I no longer need my separate HDMI to optical converter, which is good because neither Chromecast or PS4 has optical out. The Sky HD box is in another room and connected again the optical out comes in handy here too.Device seems solid enough and doing everything I need.I tested the 3.5 and it appears to be fine also
