This has honestly been one of the best buys we’ve made all year. First off, it’s so easy to use – no confusing buttons or complicated set‑up, the instructions are clear and my son mastered it completely on his own within ten minutes. I was especially pleased with the thermal control; it heats up quickly and evenly, holds a steady perfect temperature for smooth, jam‑free flow, and feels safe to handle even with regular use, which puts my mind at ease. Value for money is fantastic too – it feels really solid and well‑made, far better quality than cheaper alternatives that jam or break after a few goes. Most importantly, my son absolutely loves it – he reaches for it every single day, creating everything from small toys and jewellery to models for school. It is such great fun, sparks his creativity, and keeps him happily occupied for hours. Could not recommend it more!

What a great little 3d pen. Works well uses both filament can change this on the pen. Can have hours of fun with this. Three colors came with the pen, needs to be plugged in when using, can use a power bank with it though. Daughter loves it and had done some great designs. Easy to use and comes with a little book of simple templates

As a first time 3D pen for my 11 year old, it's pretty good. Comes with a good amount of colour thread & overall is a great starting point. It's a nice kit for the money** but on occasion, it has blocked itself so functionally, not perfect. **Bought when on sale so can't complain too much**

My 9 year old granddaughter was delighted with this pen but initially had a problem that was fixed brilliantly by the supplier. We had connected the USB cable into a small mains adapter but when the pen got to the right temperature and the button pressed to 'print', the pen reset so no filament came out. Contacted supplier customer service email on Boxing Day and got a great response the next day. The pen needs a high current (2 amps) to drive the heater AND the motor to extrude the filament. Just connect the USB cable into the plug set that comes with it (rather than some other USB power source) and it works a treat!

This is a really fun little gadget and makes a good introduction to 3D crafting and making things by hand. The pen was easy enough to get started with and the included filament and guides helped reduce some of the learning curve for complete beginners. It's one of those products that encourages experimentation and creativity rather than aiming for perfect results straight away. That said, it obviously isn't a replacement for an actual 3D printer if you're looking to make detailed or functional parts. The two products really serve completely different purposes. A 3D printer excels at precision and repeatability, whereas this is more about freehand creativity and simple projects. For beginners, younger makers or anyone who enjoys arts and crafts, it's a fun concept and an enjoyable thing to play around with, even if it won't be replacing your printer any time soon.

My daughter did not like it, and you have to buy a lot of wax because it finishes very quickly.

This might work better for a patient adult but for my 9 year old was difficult to use. It’s a bit complicated to get the hang of and to change colours. It gets really hot so can’t use it for too long. She has used it a handful of times since Christmas so wasn’t really worth it for us. Takes a while to heat up and get going too

Amazing, works great. Use it everyday and works perfectly fine still, after two months i can say still going strong and look forward to further use.

Good value for money

Absolutely awesome, bought as a birthday gift and it was her favourite gift. She is really enjoying using it. Highly recommend!

I bought this 3d pen set for my then 8 yr old granddaughter for her bday 2 years ago this week. She told me all about it before I bought it, but I thought she may lose interest. SHE CONTINUES TO LOVE IT AND USE IT all the time!! Loved that!! She would call and tell me she needed more filament, and I’d send her more. It uses the standard size (thickness) of filament, so that was easy to find! She made me gifts, she uses it with parents, and stays engaged. Last week she was so disappointed it finally died. Her dad ordered her this same kit and she’s back to it. Her bday is next week-she asked for more filament and maybe a mat, too. She has brought it to my house for us to do together. I don’t notice any noise, and never any clogging. The pen fits well in her hand and in mine, nice size. There may be a slight odor, but nothing strong or off-putting. This is one of the few gifts that she hasn’t lost parts for or lost interest. I’d say it has been an awesome value!!
