Good heater!!

I wrapped the heater around the evap coil in the location similar to the pictures and moved the temp sensor down like in the pictures. Fridge is set to 34F and has been holding steady at 37-38F measured with remote thermometer. It had been getting in the 50's once the evap coil wold ice up. This looks to be a long term fix for the Samsung ice build up on the evap coil in the fridge.

This resolved the problem of my Samsung fridge freezing up, especially during the summer. The issue was with the heater design, which wasn't sufficient to cover the metal part near the fan. I was on the verge of buying a new fridge, but as a last attempt, I opted to purchase this solution. Connecting it was not an issue; I simply traced the wire to where the original heater was connected.

I have used this twice on two samsung Frig's that freeze up, no matter what I tried these would fail freeze up within months of working on them. Read about separate heater on upper coils. Went with these thinking they probably won't work any way, end result no freeze up in 9 months still working great. Saves over spending $2000 for a new frig

water in refrigerator, warm freezer... this is part of the fix. Less expensive than the sudco 502 works the same the big negative to both is the huge insulation on this had to cut with xact-o blade to fit into a splitter. Also need larger drain clip, the insulated foam tape, bend the lower fins, new drain tubes, and sensor for freezer. (if out of spec). Don't forget heat resistant zip ties regular will melt... dialectic grease for anti moisture. good luck

This fixes the ball of ice at the top in Samsung refrigerators so the fridge coil can completely defrost.
