These work as intended, however, keep in mind that when the battery is plugged into the end with the Dean's connector, the other end has 2 VERY LARGE EXPOSED hot leads (the banana plugs). So - real life scenario - if you unplug the charger side first - the side with the banana plugs - you have 2 loose hot exposed wires - which are the same length when dangling - and they come in contact with each other very easily. For me, my mistake just resulted in a spark-show, but the worst-case scenario could very easily be a battery fire. The SAFE way to use banana plugs is when they are held together in the same connector housing so they can never touch.
