I found the parts to be of adequate quality to perform a repair on my coat zipper.All I needed was the pin to execute the repair of my coat zipper. First I checked to make sure the pin would fit in the zipper bottom and it did. Next I cleaned the zipper tape so the pin would slip over it. I applied E-6000 cement and slid the pin onto the tape and let it dry. Once dry, I cleaned off any excess cement. For the pin to fit into the zipper slider the pin must be crimped. I accomplished this by crimping the pin with a pair of vice grips. The pin works perfectly and my zipper is repaired at a fraction of the cost of having the zipper replaced.

Pricey for what they are. They do work okay.

Buyer beware: the insertion pin broke into two pieces when I squeezed it with pliers to clamp onto the fabric.

I tried to put the box on my jacket, an the box broke off! Now there is no way to fix the jacket. I spent $10 AND have to throw away the jacket!

There was no slide in the kit. Picture in description fooled me.
