I purchased this as a pre filter on my Bionaire BAP536UV that is sold at a store that we all frequent often, starting with a W... they do not sell the correct size anywhere along with the filters which btw say they are permanent but after a couple of years I also wanted to replace... I got a generic brand of the aer1 here on Amazon that came with the pre filters but those will not cover the large slits in the back covering a 20 in to 5 in or so opening, which means I would need to clean the inside of that entire area of dust and debris quite often so I bought this to cut to size. I will get 6 out of it with some left over and it is not a flimsy see through filter. It fit perfectly In the placement it was supposed to and that's saying something because the one it came with did not fit perfectly, was flimsy and see through. This is quality material. And may look like (when you put up to the light) that is is slightly see through or inconsistent but it is not. I was very thorough in investigating it and it will work perfectly!
