Works Great’
Worked perfectly. The existing one only turned on and was white. Now full control with all colors accessible.

Good product fast shipping
The only problem I have which I can't get in touch with them my remote stopped working and other than that and it's a great seller I just wish I can have my remote work

Simple to use pixel tester
I am redoing my light show going to all seed pixels. Instead of having to connect everything to the controller, this helps test pixels in bulk. Once verifying the bulk strings are fine, you can make the lengths as necessary for the display. Before setting up, a quick plug in to recheck they work. You can also use this to power a string of lights in a room or somewhere. There are enough settings on it. It is not the reason I purchased it, but it would be good for a bedroom or game room

This is an easy way to control addressable strips but somewhat limited
The modes and patterns that are on here are better than I expected but somewhat basic. It would be nice to be able to access the controller to add/change modes. The remote sync does not work. I have 5 of these and I can not get any one of them to sync to a single controller. The red and green buttons on the remote seem to be switched on all 5 controllers. Also there are other colors that don't match what is shown on the remote. The brightness control allows for it to be turned up way too high. The entire light strip got warm when I had it on full brightness while connected to a power brick. I'm also trying to run one of these on battery which does work but if the brightness is turned up too high it can draw too much current and melt your batteries and power regulators. It might be okay if your power source is able to handle the draw but it would be really nice to be able to set a limit on that brightness for certain applications.

Technically works but 255 "modes" are disappointing
Yes it works, but it is extremely frustrating to flip through 300 modes, especially since the 300 modes are essentially 280 variations of a chase animation. The others are gradual change of different color combinations. I saw nothing that I would consider breathing or fading. Also note: be aware that doesn't take many LEDs to hit the watt limit and overheat. It clearly states the power limits in the description, so do the math. For example: a single BTF-LIGHTING WS2812B has 300 RGB LEDs running at 5V and consuming a max 0.3W each; it can pull 70W-90W when the whole string lights up. That is way more than the 30W this controller can take. So do the math before ordering. Having to run separate power for LEDs and the controller sucks, but it seems that's required for any controller I have found.

Great for runnign LED's but not all the patterns are useful.
I bought this to run a 5m strip of ws2812 RGB LED's I got and it runs them well. The remote is a radio remote so you don't have to be in line of sight of the receiver and don't have to deal with the stupid IR receiver pointing at the ground or some other useless place (A friend has a controller with that design flaw, not this one). The patterns are nice and you can control the speed and brightness of each one which adds a lot of flexibility. No for the downsides. This thing has probably 200 different lighting modes, of that I would have to say only 30 of them are worth viewing. A lot of them are just one color dot going down the strip which is a different color. Not that great to look at. For the price though I am lucky if that is the biggest complaint I have.ProsInexpensiveRF remoteHas some good lighting effectsConsMost of the lighting effects are worth the memory there stored in.Time will tell if this controller holds up.

Great controller except for the FIRE HAZARD
I really like this controller for the ease of use, variety of patterns, and the RF remote control; however, I’m rating 1 star because it almost started a fire. Additionally, the brightness dimming did not work unless in a solid color mode (e.g. no patterns). In regards to the fire hazard, I was using a 5VDC- 15A power supply for a WS2812B RGB LED light matrix (256 LEDs). The power supply is the recommended power for the 256 LED matrix which is far under the 1024 LED limit for this controller. While using, the wires began smoking after about 20-30 minutes of continuous use. I unplugged the controller before a fire could start, but had it been left unattended, the results could have been disastrous.I did a minor investigation. My power supply was delivering 5VDC at 15A and suffered no damage. There was no damage to the LEDs. There does not appear to be any damage to the controller board nor to the wiring from the board to the LED connector. The damage appears to be limited only to the power supply side, but this could be because I removed the power so quickly. Had I now reacted, the may have been damage to other components. The wiring was also not crimped, pinched or altered in any way. It was at a 90 degree turn (2-3 cm radius turn) which is far less than how the unit was packaged at a 180 degree turn.It seems the fix is to simply use higher rated wiring. Note: I tried to determine the wire rating, but the markings were not sufficient to know how much power they could carry. The components of the controller board could not be individually determined. In summary, the controller is nice and simple, but can not deliver at the level promised. I do not know it’s limit, but be aware of potential fire issues when using this controller.

Add some control to your life
That is exactly what I needed for my LED project. Works seamlessly with my BTF LED lights - plugs in directly and no issues. Be sure to remove the plastic tab covering the battery on the remote to get it working. It is a simple remote to handle switching colors and modes of the LED lights.
