AmtechE2000 200mm (8") Combination Sharpening Stone

Excellent product, easy to use and I now once again have actually usable kitchen knives (cause they were full and instead of cutting tomatoes you could squish them). I was surprised at how good value the item was and was expecting a tiny little sharpening stone (like half a credit card size) but in reality the item is full size (more like 3 cigarette packets stacked vertically). The only problem I have is figuring which side is which grit, the block is colour coded but I still couldn't find any information on the packaging. But great value and an amazing find.

I've had this item for a number of years and I have used it several times for sharpening objects such as a hatchet and garden shears etc. It has a rough and a fine side which means you can start of with a quick sharpening and then use the finer side to get a razor sharp finish. There are plenty of online instructions on how to use a whetstone. I would say this is fine for intermittent use but it does wear down relatively quickly hence only receiving 4 stars

how have I only just realised that cooking is actually fun when you have a sharper knife?! My knives now slice through chicken like you've never seen. It's also much safer to prep with a sharper knife, instead of hacking at a joint with a blunt one.I soak the block in water prior to use.

As a butcher of 35 years er indoors always moaning that are knifes at home were blunt,so I purchased this,really pleased works well,look online to c how to sharpen on a stone correctly.
