Astonishing Speaker
This is an astonishing speaker. Due to a house move I had to downsize my hi-fi. Sold my amp, speakers etc. After reading the reviews for the best wireless speaker I plumped for the Sonos ERA300.After opening the box it took me less than 10 minutes to be listening to music. I was amazed at the depth, and clarity of this speaker. Vocals are reproduced effortlessly and acoustic guitar is a delight to listen to. I’m rediscovering music I hadn’t played for a long time.It connected to my iPhone playing Spotify immediately. My only criticism is that you have to pay £20 for a lead to connect a none Bluetooth external device ( in my case a Brennan JB7). Personally I think this should be included in the package.Apart from that I have no negative points. I just love it’s simplicity and sound quality.Highly recommended.

a high-end, versatile speaker for spatial audio and immersive sound
The Sonos Era 300 has emerged as a top contender in the wireless speaker space, particularly for users who prioritize a well-rounded, high-fidelity audio experience with immersive spatial sound capabilities.Key Features and DesignSpatial Audio Support: The Era 300 is optimized for spatial audio, supporting Dolby Atmos, which creates a 3D sound experience. It has a unique hourglass shape that’s not just aesthetic but also functional, helping disperse sound in multiple directions for an immersive effect.Speaker Configuration:Inside, it packs a six-driver array, including four tweeters and two woofers, allowing it to project sound not just horizontally but also upward, enhancing the depth and fullness of the listening experience. The sound quality is especially good with music produced in Dolby Atmos, which maximizes its spatial capabilities.Connectivity Options:Sonos has added versatility to the Era 300 with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, a welcome improvement over previous Sonos speakers that were limited to Wi-Fi. This makes it easier to connect various devices and use the speaker in different scenarios.Voice Assistant Compatibility:The Era 300 supports Alexa and Sonos Voice Control (but not Google Assistant), which makes it convenient for hands-free operation. The voice pickup works well, even in louder environments, due to its built-in far-field microphones.Sustainability and Design Updates:The Era 300’s design is more eco-friendly, using recycled materials and being partially disassemblable, which supports easier repairability. The physical buttons on top, including a handy volume slider, make it user-friendly and a bit more tactile compared to the fully touch-controlled previous models.Sound PerformanceThe Era 300 shines in terms of audio fidelity, especially for its size. Its soundstage is wide and detailed, with impressive clarity in highs, balanced mids, and deep bass that doesn’t overwhelm. The spatial audio support takes tracks that are mixed in Dolby Atmos to a new level, giving a “live performance” feel with a strong sense of directionality and space.Music Playback:The Era 300 performs well across genres, but it’s especially suited to high-quality recordings that benefit from its spatial audio capabilities.Home Theater:Paired with a Sonos Arc or Beam Gen 2 soundbar, it enhances surround sound setups, creating an immersive, cinema-like experience at home.Vocals and Instruments:Vocals come through with strong presence, while instruments maintain separation and clarity, preventing any one part of the mix from sounding muddy or overpowered.Pros:Exceptional spatial audio for immersive, room-filling sound.Versatile connectivity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and optional line-in via USB-C.Sleek, modern design that fits well in various interiors.Enhanced Sonos ecosystem compatibility, making it ideal for multi-room audio setups.Improved sustainability with recycled materials and repair-friendly design.Cons:High price point may make it a less accessible option for casual listeners.Lacks Google Assistant support, which limits voice assistant options.Dolby Atmos audio quality is heavily dependent on compatible sources, so standard stereo tracks may not make full use of its spatial features.

Unrivalled sound.
Wow, where do I start?I originally paired 2 of these with a Sonos Arc and Sub Mini and they blew me away as part of a set. I can’t really talk about each individually, but as a setup the sound is phenomenal.I’ve since replaced the Arc with an Ultra and all it’s done is continue to blow me away with the sound. I’m not exactly someone who can give you a blow by blow of frequencies or anything like that, especially for sound which is different for everyone. What I cam comment on is the build quality, the speakers are very heavy and show the kind of quality you expect from Sonos. I’ve been primarily testing them out with Atmos music (specifically Dancing Through Life from Wicked) and wow. The sound feels like it’s coming from everywhere, presumably because of the upward firing Atmos speakers.I replaced a Denon AV and KEF 5.1 speakers with these and I have no regrets at all. Whilst I always think a proper home cinema setup would utilise the above, for the space I’m in and the money I want to spend - Sonos has provided an unforgettable experience.

Sonos Era 300 Speaker is excellent
I have previously purchased other small bluetooth speakers that were ok but not impressive with sound quality or had loud they go, I know a few people who have some of the smaller Sonos speakers and they said how impressed they were so I decided that I would take advantage of the Black Friday deals and get the Sonos Era 300.The speaker arrived in an impressive box which makes you feel that you have bought something that it going to be excellent quality. I decided to put the speaker in my kitchen, it was very easy to set up using the app and to link my various music accounts/podcasts/BBC Sounds Etc.The sound quality is impressive especially with Apple spatial music, the clarity of each individual instrument is excellent (low and high volume), I also wanted a speaker where the volume would be high for when we are having a bit of a party, its definitely fits the bill though I don't think we would be able to have it on full volume, 75% is very loud. The speaker though purchased in the sale is still quite a bit of money but I think it is worth it, and if I decided that I had some spare cash and wanted to get another speaker for another room I wood go for the Sones Era 300 again.

I love my Sonos era 300 speakers
I’ve got two of these era 300 speakers in white and they are fantastic. The sound quality is brilliant and I have them set up as a stereo pair. The Sonos app is now improving to the point where it is acceptable, last year it was very bad to the extent that it made the speakers almost unusable. I had to use Apple AirPlay instead of the Sonos app to use the speakers effectively now however, as I say the app is good and the speakers are fantastic.
