I picked up the Eventronic 400 Pcs Heat Shrink Tubing set to help with some home wiring repairs and DIY electronics projects, and it’s turned out to be one of the handiest kits I’ve bought this year. If you do any kind of cabling, electronics, or automotive wiring, this set is an absolute must-have.First off, the set is beautifully organised. The tubing comes in a sturdy, compartmentalised plastic box, with each size and colour separated clearly. No mess, no tangled chaos. The box itself is compact but sturdy, perfect for chucking into a toolbox or drawer without worrying about it breaking or spilling everywhere.Inside, you get a brilliant variety of sizes, ranging from very small diameters (perfect for fine electronics like drone wiring) up to larger sizes suitable for main power cables or even battery leads. All the common diameters you might need are covered, and there’s a good balance of black and coloured tubing depending on whether you want your repairs to blend in or stand out.The tubing itself is excellent quality. It shrinks down quickly and evenly with a standard heat gun, and grips the wire or connection tightly without burning, cracking, or splitting. I’ve used it to tidy up the wiring inside a PC build, repair a frayed phone cable, and secure spade connectors on a car battery, and it’s worked flawlessly every time.Shrink ratio is roughly 2:1, as advertised, and you can see the difference immediately as it moulds tightly around the wire. It leaves a smooth, professional-looking finish that not only protects the connection but also makes everything look much neater.One thing I particularly appreciate is that the tubing has a nice wall thickness after shrinking — it’s not paper-thin and fragile, but proper durable insulation that gives peace of mind on higher voltage applications.If I had to suggest anything, it would be to include slightly more of the larger diameters, as you tend to use the big ones up faster if you’re working on automotive or power projects. But that’s a very minor quibble.In short, this Eventronic kit is brilliant — great selection, great quality, and a total lifesaver for DIY repairs, electronics work, and even crafting. Bought these for fittings related to ham radio. Good product, quite a selection of tubes, the glue oozes out the tubes and for spade and forks you can cut a tube in half and still have enough to cover the wire+crimp and force some onto the spade / fork also Ive used the bigger size to seal PL259 plugs / coax I will be buying this again I reckon as its good. Worth considering.

These are fine and good value, but there are lots of very small sizes (180 x 1mm, 140 x 1.5mm) which I'm unlikely to use, which seems a waste - but they're still good value.Also each size is all one colour, which makes it easy to find more of the same size in the box, but means you can't so easily colour-code multiple connections.These are both very minor quibbles!

Lots of sizes to choose from easy to use good value for money whether your DIY or professional user would recommend again I've had several of these and they've never let me down

Exactly what I wanted. I have used various sizes already and they seem perfect. Right amount of shrinkage and plenty of different sizes in the kit.

This heat shield in different sizes is very functional for different types of jobs adding greater protection for your cables good fit and well worth the money.

The actual plastic box of heat shrink sleeves arrived in a sealed shrink wrap - so I was shocked when the contents were fewer than advertised. I ended up counting the whole lot because I couldn’t believe it!Amazon gave me a refund which is why I am reviewing the product and gave the stars I gave.The sleeving itself works well and can be shrunk using a candle flame or even a hairdryer - so the product is good, it’s just a shame I was delivered a lesser amount than adver.

There are times and places where you cannot use a soldering iron and these clever little accessories come in very handy. The bare wire ends are inserted into the ends so that they overlap in the middle. Then apply heat (e.g., from a lighter) to the centre and the solder melts around the wires. In similar fashion the rest of the tube heat-shrinks around the join. The box contains a variety of sizes of the connectors. Very handy to have on a cruiser as the join is not only soldered but also protected from moisture.
