Memories of Cabot Cove: On Location in Mendocino with Murder, She Wrote Paperback – April 11, 2023

Great recollection of the show from a citizen that lived in the community. Mendocino, California is the outside setting for fictional Cabot Cove, Maine. This book is a fabulous look at the town MSW fans love so well. Heavy on photos this is a unique glimpse into the show, the setting and the actors. It is a must have for fans.

As a big fan of Murder, She Wrote and Angela Lansbury, I am always interested in learning more about the show, so I grabbed this book as soon as I saw it. The author is the former owner of the Hill House, a local inn that exists in both imaginary Cabot Cove and real-life Mendocino, CA, the actual setting for Cabot Cove. The show used Mendocino often during its years of filming. This book contains many photographs taken during filming in the small coastal CA town. I enjoyed going through the information, but it also left me wanting more.

This is a slim book, about 40 pages, but the photos and other information are especially good for the fan of "Murder, She Wrote."

This little book was a pleasant read. It's not lengthy, highlighting the area of Mendocino California where Murder She Wrote was filmed in part. There are several black and white pictures of the areas used in the series with various actors who were guests on the show. A few are of Angela Lansbury but not many. I was hoping the actress would be more prominently featured in the book with more candid shots of onset but was disappointed there It is a nice read nonetheless, and has a great little map of Mendocino in the back of the locations used prominently in the series. This book is not indepth, but I did enjoy it.

What a treat to have this! I love that it is in honor of Monte. The Reeds will always hold a special place in my heart. It was a nice collaboration and such a great thing to do for the Kelly house. Those that know, know!!!! Thank you for sharing Barbara.

This book is a fantastic peek behind the scenes of one of my all-time favorite shows. The engaging introduction by Jain Lemos added so much to my knowledge of it. I think it's time to binge all the seasons again. Thank you!

A fantastic behind the scenes book of murder she wrote.

Oltre 14 euro per un libro che non ha nemmeno 45 pagine mi sembra un prezzo eccessivamente alto. Entro la decina d'euro sarebbe stato un prezzo più che adeguato. Il libricino in sé è comunque veramente ottimo, perciò penso che ogni fan quei 14,14 euro li spenderà volentieri. Ci sono molte foto del dietro le quinte della serie, girata appunto a Mendocino, ognuna accompagnata da brevi ma essenziali testi scritti. La scrittura è agevole mentre la qualità delle foto non sempre altissima, anche se bisogna ricordare che hanno comunque la loro età (penso che la bassa qualità di alcune potrebbe risalire in un problema della scansione a monte, non tanto nella stampa). Nel complesso voto 4 stelle, perché parlo da fan di Murder, She Wrote, e dunque lo consiglio a tutti gli appassionati (magari approfittando di qualche sconto promozionale per prenderlo ad un prezzo più consono!). Peccato che questa come molte altre pubblicazioni sul tema non siano mai state tradotte e pubblicate in italiano...
