NCV Youth Bible

I bought this for my 'rapture' box so if I am taken friends and family, who may not have access to people who can explain Gods word. I am so impressed with it that I may buy another to use daily myself. It puts Gods word into context for today, it has activities for you to do to help you fully ingest what is being said and apply it to yourself. It has timelines and explanations of the world which educate you on the Lords creations and it contains bible studies. Although this is aimed at youth, it is a fantastic resource for anyone who is new to reading the bible or who struggles to understand it, as well as those who want more detail on historical timelines or requires bible studies.

I’m familiar with many versions of the bible and I’m beginning to like this the best, it refreshing and I love the simplicity of the text, no thrashing around trying to discover what the messages are. My wife has taken to it also. The life stories which relate to certain pieces of scripture are also very meaningful. A great version, as an ALM I was introduced to it by an ordained member of my church

Bought as a gift for a friend but nicely presented

Bought this version as it was the most popular one recommended by the Church youth group. Contemporary and easy to read, with lots of great explanatory notes and 'extra' bits to help young people relate the word to school, home, relationship issues etc. I'd happily recommend it to any child from around the age of 11 years, through the teen years and beyond. Boys might prefer the alternative colour cover design.
