Quality, will go through anything
I’ve used a lot of diagonal cutters over the years, but the Knipex High Leverage Diagonal Cutter (black atramentized, plastic coated) is in a league of its own.Right out of the box, you can tell it’s a serious tool. Good weight in the hand. The finish is sleek and durable, and the black atramentized coating not only looks professional but helps protect against corrosion. The plastic-coated handles are simple, grippy, and comfortable — no frills, just solid control.Where this cutter really shines is in performance. Thanks to the high leverage design, it cuts through copper, aluminum, and even piano wire with astonishing ease. Minimal effort, clean cuts, and no damage to the cutting edges even after heavy use. It’s a tool you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.

High quality cutters
Great for cutting guitar strings. The 160mm long 74 02 160 is perfect for guitar strings. The larger 200mm size is for bigger jobs.

Genuine German Quality Tool
Short Review: Good size, well made, great action, can cut piano wire and still cut tracing paper they're so good.Long Review: I bought these over a snap-on pair and have no doubts they're as good but probably better. This grip length is perfect in my opinion and the jaws are sharp right to the tip, so great for cutting fine/thin locking wire which is flush against a flat surface/panel. Comfy grips and a great action, there is no play in the rivet at all yet the action isn't stiff. My pair arrived inside an extra polythene bag as the tool was covered in a light film of machine oil to prevent any corrosion during storage/transit so a light rub over and they're ready to go. I ordered these after hearing rave reviews about them from a famous TV presenter on a show testing myths (you know the one), I now understand why.

INCREDIBLE side cutters
These side cutters are simply the best ones of this size/application that I've ever used. They cut through wire incredibly easily. I often use a pair of side cutters at both home and at work to clean the nozzles and tips of a MIG torch and cut the MIG welding wire. Most of the other side cutters I've used have rolled edges from cutting wire, but the heat treat on these are so good that the edge is still perfect, even after cutting through some strong 3mm wire about 100 times in the past few days. These type of side cutters don't fill your hand as much as the ones that also insulate you from electricity, but the ergonomics are still fantastic, and having thin handles means I can put them in the front pocket of a leather apron, meaning I can have some serious cutting power just in my pocket. Can't recommend enough!!! Knipex are a great brand.

Well made pair of cutters
Leaving the Knipex hipe on the side,I can tell that they are well made.Sharp and easy to hold, can cut trough screws with some effort and cables are not a problem for them.I couldn't cut very thin sheet metal, but they are not designed for that.I will recommend to someone that look after the tools and enjoy using quality.Or people that use them on a regular basis for work, so the price difference between a cheaper set is justified. If you are "saving" to get a decent pair of cutting pliers, might not be the best choice.Since a tool is mean to be used without hesitation or fear of damaging it and this ones are to pretty to use them as a hammer.Even though I believe they can take the beat!
