Firstly, the negatives, these are a fairly bright purple, not the denim blue ish colour I expected from the photo. The sole is cheap and nasty looking (made in China) so not sure how long it will last and also it's hollow plastic, not a long lasting rubber stuck to the canvass with glue, so not worth the money in my opinion. Finally, I'm a bog standard 38 (5) in crocs, clarks and carvella, these are too generous in size width wise, but that's fixed with 2 pairs of insoles.Now to the positives, yes they are unique, yes they are pretty and there are no seams rubbing anywhere. The designed is impressive, pity about the the execution and material not being quality (so I expect the Spanish designer / artist would be impressed either), and they seem comfortable even without socks due to the lack of seams, which is unusual, so that means they could well turn out to be a must have comfortable travel bare foot type of shoe. How practical they are out on the street, I've yet to try. Bottom line is, for the quality, I'd expect to pay a tenner (£10) for these at the seaside, no more.

There is no doubt these are beautiful shoes. Lovely pattern and very unique. However, as the sizes go up in uk halves, they are a little bit big for my size 5. This means I now have blisters on both heels! Such a shame. To go down a size will be too small. And having to wait a month for delivery is such a long time. As lovely as they are the £49 charge is an extortionate price for what are very light weight canvas shoes. Would love to order more but the sizing and price won't allow!!

Having read in lots of the previous reviews that these shoes are smaller than expected, I ordered a size 42 (I am normally a 40). But the 42 was way too big! I am returning them, and ordering a 40 instead. Lovely lightweight shoes, nice and comfortably broad at the toe end. These Bear Hug shoes look grey in the illustrations, but in fact I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are a lovely soft sage green colour. Very attractive.UPDATE: I have now received the size 40s and they are a good comfortable roomy fit. So there was no need to have ordered bigger than my usual size: They were true to size, for me.

The shoes are very light and look beautiful but are agony to get on. Although they have an elastic fillet it doesn't seem very stretchy so trying to get my foot in its very tricky. I have to wiggle and jiggle it in with a shoe horn. However I am a strong minded woman who loves her shoes and can break through the pain barrier. I'm not sure they're really worth the money and I'm not convinced that all the wiggling and jiggling is going to be good for them in the long run... but I do love their look!

Arrived well before expected time. Bought my normal size 4 & fit is perfect - did have a bit of a struggle to get them on as gap for foot is a bit tight but once on they are really comfortable. Love them - they are so different.

Following the size guide I ordered a 40EU which should be a 6.5 UK. I was expecting these to be a bit tight to get on, having read the reviews, but they were REALLY tight to get on, though wide and comfortable in the foot when on. Not sure I could wear them in hot weather though when might feet tend to swell up a bit. Looked at the label inside the shoe and it says 6UK 40 EU, NOT 6.5UK. No wonder they are so tight. Am returning and will reorder the 41 EU in the hope they are easier to put on and not so large that my feet slosh about. Beautiful design and seem to be of good quality so don't be put off - just be careful what size you order.

I ordered size Eu 39 which is my shoe size but they are far too small. The company seems to have got the size conversion between UK sizes and Eu sizes wrong and also they are very small made, I think you have to go up 1.5 sizes in Eu size. They are beautifully made though and look really nice once you get your size sorted. I wish there was a proper global standard in shoe sizes....especially for online ordering....

Disappointing! Foot size was correct but nearly took the skin off the tops of my feet off getting them on- I have narrow feet so this shouldn't have been a problem. After wearing them for a short period of time I had no skin left on my heals. The material around the top of the shoes are hard and rough.
