Most Economical High Quality SSD per TB
This product has the most economical price per TB for SSD from a trustworthy name brand like Sandisk giving me more confidence in long term reliability of backup data. Easy to use through USB, plug in and use and get faster transfer rates at 800mb/s. I bought an earlier version of the 2TB with 500mb/s about a year ago and had no problems so far. For price per TB, it is better to buy two of these 2TB than the 4TB version because the overall cost is less, it reduces your lost data in event of failure by splitting your data across two SSD and you can even duplicate critical data across both for redundancy so that if one SSD fails you do not lose critical data. It is better to have your data backed up on SSD than to cloud so you have direct control. There were some competitors that came in about $15 or $20 less for 2TB, but I am willing to pay a little more for the confidence you get with Sandisk performance and reliability.

Great value
This portable SSD is very small, light and fast. It becomes very handy in away from desk situations like when you're working with your cameras and laptop outdoors (I shoot video outdoors) or when you're traveling. It works as soon as you plug it in and works fast, so it's as easy as it can get. I don't know how long it will last as storage devices have a mind of its own, and will stop working with no apparent reason, but for the 2 months i've had it, no problem so far, haha. The only thing is I wish it came with some anti-slip feet or something to keep it sliding all over the table, and as with all SanDisk SSDs, it comes with useless software I delete as soon as I take it out of the box.

Dependable external data storage
Always go with this brand for dependability. Tried cheaper ones and they just don't work as advertised and crash often. These SanDisks don't do that.

Buy at your own risk (IF you have a PC in the home, you're good.)
I currently have a 500GB Samsung drive which I have used for years with zero issue. I am an editor and have assets in excess of 1.5 TB. I looked into pricing and this was the most affordable. Many 2TB+ HD are in the hundreds. This drive was cost effective for me.Once I got it, I began transferring files to it. All the while, examining and taking inventory of what assets I had. This was transitions, audio, video and special FX. This took me 4 days and I wasn't finished when the unthinkable happened. In fact, was about 75% done.I ejected the Samsung with zero issue. When I ejected the SanDisk, it gave an error that it was in the process of doing something. I waited. Tried again. Same error. I didn't have time for this so I removed it manually. (Note: I have done this in the past as I'm sure anyone who reads this has done, without any issue.)I digress. I plugged it back in. Nothing. Restarted my Mac. Nothing. Plugged in my other drive. It was found. Looked in Apple Configurator. Nothing. I looked on-line for what people did. One reviewer on here said that they had to hook it up to a PC and do a repair. My wife is a PC person, thank god! Plugged it in and after about 10 min, it said no error found and was good to go. When I plugged it into my Mac, it was found as if there was never an issue in the first place.I will use this drive, but in the meantime I will be on the lookout for a more robust and trustworthy drive. Even if I have to pay $1000. It would be more reliable than this.I have tens of thousands of assets on it. I cannot let it die on me and lose all my files! Granted, I can redownload them and do the process all over again. But I'm not getting paid to do that!*** If you're a Mac user, make sure you have a PC to link it up to, so you can do a repair on it.**I do not know if the same applies for Windows Parallel. Before typing this I removed the drive by ejecting it. As I was typing this, I got an alert stating it was not ejected properly.
