Bought for my friend's kid. It is Great for kids to do something constructive and creative.The edges are smooth, safer for kids.paints is water-based, so it is not afraid to stick to the hand and can be easily washed off with water.after punch out the pieces, your kids can paint as her wish.There also have a step by step insturction to show how to make the puzzle. Easy to assemble.My friend's kid really enjoyed assembling and painting these crafts.Definitely recommend.

These were okay. Cool 3d concept. My boys got bored fast because some pieces were not cooperating. It does advise you may need glue to keep some pieces together but we weren't looking for a full out project so it became more tedious than fun for them.I ended up having to assemble it mostly so it kind of took away from them making this on their own which was kind of what I wanted. I think maybe it's just a bit too small. Some pieces are easy to lose as well. And I think the blue paint may have stained the pair of pants my son was wearing too, so not sure how washable this paint is.

The ad says "No additional tools or glue are required." and "ALL NEEDS IN ONE SET" but the kits say "Tools may be required for taking out small parts." and Glue may be required at some points." Also, "Adult supervision is advised due to small sharp parts." How good it will look at the end would depend on the painting skills of the maker.

I ordered this product to do with a little boy I babysit, and was extremely impressed. It comes nicely packaged, with everything you need included. The wood pieces were easy to punch out, the paintable designs imprinted on the wood were cute and well done, and the paint had a cool watercolor quality to it that allowed the design outlines on the background to show through. It was also thoughtfully conceived, as the directions were clear and even little things like attachments for the layers of background were included. Also it comes with enough to make 2 full models.On top of that, what really draws me to use this again are the cognitive and motor skill development aspects of it for younger children. I'm always looking for new games and activities that couch learning and practice in play, and this totally fits the bill. I did this with a pre-schooler, and punching out and helping to assemble the components helped him practice his fine motor skills and coordination, and painting the model was a great creative outlet; we talked about how to spell the names of each paint color and what dinosaurs ate as we went. Of note however, this is definitely an activity where you want to hand off specific tasks to younger children, and be prepared to do the fiddly bits of the dinosaur assembly, instruction reading, etc yourself.It was a BIG hit - he was begging for "just 5 more minutes" before bed to start the second model, and I felt good about providing an interactive and edifying activity that was so much fun. Highly recommend! Also a great activity for family friends and relatives who aren't quite sure what to do with younger children; it provides an easy way to bond and play!

It’s a really cute dinosaur set. Comes with two plywood cutout sets, paint, and a small paintbrush. It’s described as a puzzle, but I’d really call it more of a 3D dinosaur art DIY. One thing to pay attention to is the size of the final display item because it’s quite small, a lot smaller than I was expecting it to be. Overall though, great little set for the price and would make a nice gift for a 6-8 year old.

my son loves building things. my daughter love to paint. my son loves dinosaurs. my daughter likes pretty things like flowers. it was a win win. and they had a blast.they done similar things before, I love getting this type of thing for them to play with. they have built and painter wooden cut up sculptures. which I love watching, this stuff didn't exist when I was a kid. and I enjoyed as an adult in art school. I love introducing them to art and sculpture.But aside from that this one really stood out. I love the idea of them designing the back drop. thinking about story and world the sculptor/dinosaur lives in. showing them world building and storytelling. really expanding the their imagination. getting them to ask more questions and think a little differently.But they just had fun. they were learning and growing without noticing. and as parent I just love that kind of experience. they using their hands and following directions. they are think and collaborating. and they're doing something new and fun.it a small gift, a small activity. but the pieces are well made. and they get a nice little keepsake. like that its a two pack so I didn't have to buy two. I'm surprised it all came a such a low price.
