Received with pleasure by 2+ year old boy. The usual Lego/Duplo quality and our grandson particularly likes the digger's flashing lights and sounds.

Good for imaginative play, wee guy loves the set and plenty to mix and match with other duplo sets. 5 stars as got it as part of a prime deal, as a bit expenaive at full price.

Bought as a gift - vehicle mad 2 year old loves it.

There's no doubt that this is a fun and engaging set for toddlers with lots of moving parts/vehicles as well as 3 characters to provide plenty of fun and action. Building will be a bit of a challenge for someone at the lower end of the age range but they will have a grown up to support. It's a shame then that the current price for this set seems so high in comparison to what you get and I take a star off as it's not such good value but maybe there will be better deals in the future as this was a new set for 2023 I believe

This is a lovely set for youngsters, claims made for LEGO have been researched and found to be largely beneficial;Goodness.... LEGO..... there are many claims made for this wonderfully engaging play medium; hand-eye co-ordination, creative skills and imaginative development, co-creative development and communication skills, let alone relaxation and mindfulness that children (and adults) so need in a world of virtual games and often a disconnection from a reality. Play, childrens' play is so very important for their social and intellectual development (that was Einstein), LEGO has long been one tool to help develop each and all of the above..... yes I am a fan of LEGO, for children, adults and therapy.Still the best (value) for our children's' education and development.

The media could not be loaded.  The box seems to be a much simpler design than sets we’ve had in the past, this doesn’t affect the set at all but an observation that the focus seems to be much more on the image of the children playing with a white background rather than bright, garish and colourful. Once inside the manual is now found in a cardboard sleeve instead of the previous plastic bag, great move in the right direction environmentally! There are only three bags of bricks and pieces with the figures in, the rest of the set is all large enough pieces that they are loose in the box. The manual is set out with lots of illustrations to inspire children to create a story using the Duplo and their play. It is aimed for children aged 2 year old + which is definitely correct, the pieces are strong and durable and a 2 year old would have lots of fun playing with the set. Personally for us I don’t feel my children when 2 would’ve been able to build and follow the instructions but as a small world toy this would work really well. Our 4 year old daughter can competently complete this build independently. I set this up myself on first opening but once arranged our 4, 6 and 8 year old couldn’t wait to get their hands on it, fortunately there was three figures so the siblings didn’t argue… too much! There is a digger, cement mixer and crane. The cement mixer has a flashing siren type light (which could be switched over to the digger) it also makes numerous different sound effects which is new, I seem to remember our previous Duplo sets only having one sound and light option! Overall this is a great set with lots of play value to a range of ages and genders. If I had one negative point about the set it’s that the caterpillar tracks on the digger are false and hide a set of wheels that are underneath, my son was disappointed and would’ve loved to have real caterpillar tracks on the vehicle!

The media could not be loaded.  Pricey kit at 59.99. But branded duplo and lego are always quite high.It's fun to build, and exciting array of vehicles, diverse people, buildings and extras. The pizza is a nice touch.The mixer lorry has lights and sounds on the top. Batteries included. It's actually really cute sounding. Not crazy irritating. One sounds like an engine being turned over, a cheerful horn noise and a reverse beep.All the moving parts were smooth and worked well to get the boulder from truck to winch to mixer.Very fun set and lots of possibilities for young creative minds. Obviously if you add on any existing duplo you could build a whole town to demolish and reconstruct now you have the crew to do so...but equally its pretty fun just as a solo set too.
