Great tool.. great value

Easy to use and quickly shows faults
Having moved into a new house with multiple cables in the loft and no aerial or any idea which one went to which room or would be for the satellite, this tool proved indispensable. Easily found the correct cables and tested the connection which identified an open circuit caused by the builders. The only downside is the lack of an adaptor for male and female aerial sockets, luckily I had a couple of spare f type adapters.

I have been looking for this type of tool for a long time.
I have used this tool as a profession user for a couple of weeks now and I have worded how I ever managed without one. it is simple but effective and very accurate in identifying the cable runs. Marvellous little tool!

Tidy but needs a Case
Nice tidy tool ,the clip keeps remotes at hand. While the test unit has a screw "F" connector fitted ,the remotes need an adapter to fit,, one is supplied ,,two is max you can clip onto unit , so that means you would have to carry two "F" adapters loose , with this in mind a Case ,should be supplied to hold all this . I would advise to disconnect ends of cables from STB or LMB ,as when I tried to map my system (6cables) I got 2 "signals" on "Blue" remote( presume 1 false positive) , which makes unit useless ,unless all can be disconnected .Its a pity ,these two issues make a very handy tool a bit expensive.

Excellent, but be aware of your socket types
This is a great time saver. Used this a few times for identifying coax cables in loft spaces and multiple rooms. Tool is small and easy to carry, very easy to use with clear lights for ID purposes and even tells you if there is a short in the cable. Be aware that the coloured plugs fit on ftype sockets and connectors fine, but need an adaptor to fit on standard UK coax sockets. Easily done, but I think this has been made with the North American market in mind where they use ftype for eveything.

A must for stress taking
what a brilliant and quick solving cable finder took me 30 minutes to find the correct cables in all the 6 rooms that have tv cables Virgin engineer was more exited than me when I showed him how easy it was to find the right cable Im sure he will have easier workload once he gets the product

Perfect.
I used this to trace about a dozen coax leads in a new build house and it worked perfectly for me. Very much recommended.

Worked like a charm. After years of plugging in cables and checking there's a signal via powering up the device, this was a huge time saver. I finally labeled all of my connections (should have done that in the first place) and will share this with friends when they need it as well. Time is money and this saved me a lot of it. Easy to use and the only thing that would improve this is additional barrel connectors. If you tracing four "cables," you're going to need those to make these work. The other option is to add the connector at the wall plate, but most of those were behind the TV or stand. Way easier to test the cable where it enters the box or TV.

Repérage ligne dans appartement

I knew I was going to put in a physical line to an AP/Router I was placing in our basement. Could run ethernet ... but wait there is coax in 2 different places in the converted apartment --- let's use MOCA. Was able to trace the three lines using thsi device, found 2 to be active and easily traceable to a central hub of coax and was easily able to trace from it to where I wanted it in the basement (also an existing line). Life was good - 2 existing lines connected together and I had a coax backbone. The device it self was easy to use and accurate, and I have it for when I need to trace where all the other lines go from the hub.

Works as designed so far for the uses I have tested with. Knocks out four rooms without having to go up and down multiple floors in the house.
