This fingerprint lock is awesome! No more fumbling with keys or combos. Just press your finger and boom, it opens. Setup was quick, and the backup key is a nice bonus just in case.It’s heavy duty and handles rain and weather no problem — been using it outside on my gate for weeks with zero issues. Feels really tough, not like some cheap lock.

This lock has 3 different ways of opening it, which is helpful if one way fails. I use the app that works flawlessly when I'm on the side of my gate where I don't have access to the fingerprint reader. When I use the fingerprint reader, it reads my fingerprint and opens the lock in 5 seconds. It reads my fingerprint 90% of the time after 1 try. The other 10% of the time, it'll take 2 tries. This is a way better percentage than some other fingerprint readers for door locks. The 3rd option for opening the lock is with a key, probably needed if the battery dies. After 6 months, I have yet to have to recharge the lock.

Excellent quality product. Very easy to setup and use. Good battery last forever. Look good. Good locking functionality. Highly recommend.

My first suggestion would be for the developer to get a professional writer that speaks proper English and rewrite the instructions clearly. Right now the instructions are total garbage and incomprehensible.The fingerprints, key and App unlock functions works well. HOWEVER my biggest issue is that after you unlock the lock with the App, you have to touch the lock in order to connect it again to Bluetooth. That means you cannot unlock the lock remotely again unless you touch the sensor first to connect the lock back to the Bluetooth. This makes the lock useless to use the remote functionality the next time as you have to touch the lock each time to “wake it up” to connect it again to Bluetooth so you can unlock it remotely again.In other words you have to physically touch the lock to reconnect it to the app and Bluetooth each time you use it remotely else you can’t use the remote function again until you touch it so it can reconnect to the Bluetooth. This makes no sense to me to be able to use the lock remotely the next time. Why is this called remote if you have to touch the lock to connect it? Why would you need to unlock it remotely if you have to touch it.I tried the FAST CONNECT button as well but I still need to get close to the lock for it to work. I now see that the lock needs a Bluetooth device close by to work as opposed to using WIFI which would make it work no matter what.(If you read the product descriptions it’s actually listed in the description that this is how it works. Mr. Seller/Developer please respond if I am wrong or explain how I could use the App remotely a second time if I’m not close by to touch the lock).I also thought I could remotely lock it but that’s not possible. Oh well not a big deal because the App shows the status of the lock as open or closed. Thats fine!So the lock did not serve my purpose. I wanted a lock that I could unlock at a distance but unfortunately this is not it. However, I can see how this would work for others, its just not for me.I am returning this lock and I CAN’T RECOMMEND buying this.

In a layered security plan, I've found this lock to be an excellent initial phase. It is rather big and bulky, enough to slow down an attempt. I was able to set up several fingerprints in the app easily, and it's reassuring to have the back up metal keys. I haven't needed to recharge it yet and hope I won't have to do so very often thanks to the eco-sleep feature it has. The heft inspires confidence, though a big bolt cutter will get through almost any of these locks, so this should be an initial layer only and not the entire plan. Because it is black and has a lithium battery, I wouldn't use this anywhere that gets direct sun, I'm sure that will degrade the battery quickly. But for things like quick gym lock or smaller spaces, I think this is so convenient to use every day. It does seem like people were expecting remote unlock, without realizing that that those kinds of features need wifi or cellular. I bought this knowing its bluetooth limitations, and am totally satisfied with how it performs.

Experience so far with use in the cellar (dry, cool) for half a year:Unlocking processes around 2 to 3 dozen, exclusively via fingerprint, opening via app uninteresting (the joke is that you should no longer need an object to open it)Battery level after charging when put into operation six months ago: 3 points out of 4 (remaining capacity uncertain, now being recharged as a precaution)Reliability of unlocking processes: limited, most recently 4 attempts required, concern about further increasing unreliability due to the many (12%) negative reviewsConclusion: Great product in itself (!!!), but unfortunately with a real concern about unreliability with increasing age.Battery life could be longer, I originally only wanted to charge once a year, but don't really dare. This should no longer be a major problem if you use a high-quality battery with very low self-discharge.A combination of fingerprint and numerical code would perhaps be even more secure...I give it 4 points and will reduce it if necessary if there are any problems over the next few years
