works excellent
Bought this to fill irrigation tank from our main water line. Easy to install and well made. If you are running 60 psi inlet pressure make sure you use the 6" float and 12" rod so it has adequate leverage to shut the valve off completely. I tried the 4" float with 6" rod and it didn't shut off completely when I raised the pressure to 60 psi

Works as expected, designed for side mounting though.
Works as expected. I use it inside a 1350 gallon tank, have a hose running to it. I only wish its mounting configuration was a little more universal. I mounted it in the top of the tank so I had to throw away the 6" rod I had purchased for it, get a 13" and bend it so that the float would close the valve as expected. Once I made that modification though it has worked just fine.

OK if you plan to mount at TOP of tank, but not if used at bottom.
Unlike the PT100SS (1-inch bulkhead mount) or PS100SS (1-inch regular mount) valves, the PT75SS (3/4") valve can only be mounted one way and only at the TOP of the tank. Those other models can be turned upside down and mounted at the bottom of the tank and configured so that the valve can be attached to a long rod with the float at the top of the tank. I am using a PS100SS (1-inch valve) on a 7-foot high 3000 gallon tank, with a 6-foot plastic rod connecting the valve to a float at the top. Can't do that with this 3/4-inch valve. To use it, I would have to fill the tank from the top, which is not useful if you have several tanks you want to connect together at the bottom so that they all fill to the same height. I don't understand why these float valve manufacturers seem to assume that you always want to fill a tank from the top. Also, the throats of these Kerick valves are smaller than the specifications would seem to indicate. The throat of the 3/4 inch valve, for example, is only about 5/8 inch inside diameter. This is due to the extra thickness of the walls of the valve. I see this same smaller ID in the 1-inch valve and the 1.5 inch valve. So if you are buying one of these, don't expect the inside diameter of it to correspond to the ID of the same size PVC fitting. Finally, be sure to use these Kerick valves (3/4-inch and larger) with a minimum 6-inch diameter float ball. It doesn't reliably shut off with a 4-inch float (not enough force to fully close the valve).

Solid construction
There is apparent quality with this manufacturer's products. Threads are of excellent quality and I expect years of use.

Packaged incorrectly
Returned as package indicated 3/4" NPT male threaded inlet and outlet but product was a 1" thread.
