This is my favorite lite novel series
If you are a fan of lite novels and anime you'll enjoy this series. Wile there are serious moments and some emotionally charged scenes the overall feel of this story is fun adventure.I've read this story from it's Web novel days and it has been nicely polished into lite novel form. The basic plot is pretty standard but the characters are well written and their personalities are distinct. The MC is not OP at the start but becomes so pretty quickly so the story becomes a mix of opponents he can squash like bugs and ones actually on his level. There really isn't an in between but the author mixes it up enough to keep it fun and interesting. To me what makes this one stand out is the author's ability to convey how much fun he is having to the reader and his skill at putting it all together. I've read some posts the author wrote as well as the afterwards of the books. When he started this story, he was just throwing any trope he wanted into the mix. There was no over arching plot, no main story and no end goal. Just whatever made him happy. He wanted guns in there so he put guns in. He liked magic so throw that in too. Want an anti-hero, make an anti-hero. Vampires? sure. Then the publishers came to him with a book deal and suddenly he needs an endgame to write toward. So he scrambled to put something together that made sense and would be interesting and personally I think he pulled it off spectacularly. I've read to the finish and the final book does not disappoint at all.And the behaviors and motivations of the characters are not as incomprehensible as some in this genre can be.If you want to quickly see if this story is for you there is an anime version that is currently in it's second season. It's pretty close to the source material so it'll give you a good idea of how the novels go.It should be noted that there are "after stories" out there that he still publishes in Web form. They tend to follow different characters around after the events of the series so if you like the characters you should check those out too.

Great and funny
I've watched the anime for this series. Let me tell you, there was so much stuff not in the anime in here. Most of it hilarious.

Love the series
I'm buying this series again because I loved it and sadly lost my set. Can't wait to get them all once more. Still an enjoyable read after I've read it so many times

Great Story; Rough Writing
I am going to make it clear: I am an absolute fan of this book and of the story. The only reason I am giving this 4/5 stars is for a smidge of objectivity in the review. The writing style presented in this book is "unrefined." The author utilizes a very casual approach to writing causing the story to take a "thought-by-thought" path through the story. It is not bad; it is just not the writing you would expect of a story which is so good. The story is amazing. The main character, Hajime, experiences the typical story-line of other isekai novels, where a person or a group of people are transported to another world and become incredibly powerful. He, however, does not start out that way and ends up in an uphill and transformational journey to the position of the powerful protagonist. Ryo Shirakome brings you through an action-packed journey, observing Hajime take down challenge after challenge to the pursuit of his ultimate goal.I do not wish to spoil the story for anyone reading this. The story has a charm and honesty to it which sets it apart from others in the same genre and I do believe that it would be hard to resist continuing after starting. For anyone still unsure, part of the complete story is available as an anime, which condenses the core story into a thoroughly enjoyable series. Even after watching that, the book is no less of a pleasure to read.

A Modern-Day Masterpiece
I originally never planned to read this series because it sounded boring and generic; the same could be said of the cover art. I was horribly mistaken. This first volume is one that I would consider to be a masterpiece. I haven't been this shocked and hyped about a series since Re:Zero (my current favorite anime), and this first volume gets darker and is equally or more enjoyable than when I watched Re:Zero for the first time. Arifureta is a gritty, dark fantasy isekai series that I highly recommend for those who enjoy any of those genres. I would describe it as a darker Re:Zero (in terms of violence and overall tone) meets The Rising of the Shield Hero (stats and abilities and very beginning/premise) meets Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (aka Danmachi) (in terms of the dungeon setup).Arifureta follows Hajime, a high school boy in Japan who is an otaku and is constantly bullied. His only solace is sleeping during class, though a kind and beautiful girl (one of the most popular ones in school) tries to defend him and be his friend. After wishing for his classmates to disappear into another world like in the stories he reads so that he can be left in peace, he, his young teacher, and his classmates are all summoned to another world as the heroes to save the humans from the powerful demon race that threatens to wipe out humanity. They all get powers and abilities, but Hajime's are comparable to a child's and he only has one "special" ability that many commoners also have. He is labeled as useless by his classmates until he proves himself in battle by adapting his only ability to a support/defender role and saving everyone from being killed in a situation where he and they honestly should have died if not for his selflessness and creative strategizing. Unfortunately, he ends up betrayed by a selfish classmate, finds himself alone, and eventually becomes a new person entirely.Arifureta volume 1 starts off semi-generic before becoming extremely dark and then slowly becoming hopeful again. The entire story is enjoyable and the characters are fleshed out, making them believable and at times relatable (depending on the character). I thoroughly enjoyed volume 1 and look forward to getting to continue the story in volume 2.

Arifureta!!!
Me encantó, llegó perfecto y el material de la novela es excelente. Solo recomendaría enviarlos en una bolsa de celofán o cubierta de plástico (como se manejan generalmente los manga), porque aunque son nuevos pueden maltratarse con facilidad en el envío.
